"Daaadddyyy!" Ro yelled, running into my arms. Lord knows I missed my little girl.

"Hey princess" I covered her cheeks in kisses.

"Hey" Nia spoke

"Wassup?" I gave her a side hug. She handed me Ro's little suitcase.

"I'm running late. I'll be back to pick her up Monday."

"Alright"

"Bye mama's baby. I love you." She kissed her cheek.

"I love you too mommy."

"Have fun with daddy." She said as she was about to walk away. Stopping in her tracks, she turned around and walked back.

"How's it going with Hazel?" Why? Why would you ask that question right in front of Ro?

"I mean..."

"Is it because of Ammika?"

"Nia..."

"Sorry, not my business." She said, throwing her hands up in defense. It's not your business at all. Run along.

"Don't you have to be somewhere?"

"Oh, right. I'll see you guys later."

"Bye" I walked into the house and closed the door.

"Daddy have you been crying?"

"A little bit."

"Why? I thought you said thugs don't cry." I laughed. This girl was too much.

"Because i missed my princess, that's why i was crying." And my Queen.

"But i'm right here."

"I know that. I'm glad to have you here." I sat down and put her on my lap. "What you and mommy been up to?"

"Nothing. Mommy's boring." I laughed

"Is that right?"

"Yeah. She's not fun like you and Hazelnut." My smile dropped. I would be better off not even hearing her name.

"Mommy's lame."

"What is lame?"

"Your mama "

"Oh... mommy's lame!" She said copying me.

"Don't say that around her though. I don't wanna get in trouble." She pretended to zip her lips.

"Now throw away the key." She threw the imaginary key.

"Well since i'm the fun parent, what do you suggest we go do today?"

"Let's go see Hazelnut!" Here it goes...

"We can't see Hazelnut."

"Why not?" I sighed. What do I tell her?

"Hazel and I don't talk anymore. We went our separate ways. She's living life without me now."

"But... I thought we were best friends."

"I know princess but... Hazel moved on." Her eyes started to water. The last thing I wanted to see was my baby girl cry.

"Don't cry Ro. Hazelnut still loves you with all her heart. Don't worry, you're still her best friend. She wouldn't trade you for the world.
