*mollys moms prospective*
I was still in the hospital but was doing good on my own. I mostly stayed because they thought I couldn't handle myself and would be dead the next time this happened. So I had no place to really go. They just told me to stay here making up silly excuses.
Unfortunately for us, jasper got into a car accident. The man driving the semi was dead. He had died after several tumbles from multipul blows to the head and he had already been passed out from the shock of it all. Appernatly his breaks had given out and he had just came down the hill from dropping off a load then smashing into Jasper's pickup. They found Jasper's cab of his pickup down at the bottom of the small hill. It was crushed to the side of the tree. They found him in there barely alive. Glass imbedded in the flesh of his skin, a multipul deep cuts in his head, some close to the skull. Dried blood was caked around his hair. Busted up face from the impact of the air bag. Six broken ribs from being crushed. And multipul small bones being broken. Yet that wasn't bad. The bad part was that jasper was now in a coma. I had just gotten the news myself. Sitting in the hospital as the doctor listed things off, all were recoverable. Then he came to the coma. My heart stopped. What if he didn't wake up? My mind screamed at me. This was Molly's love since thirteen. How could this happen? Esspesially when we were so close to finding her. What if she moves? What if she's gone? These random yet terrifying thoughts circulated through my mind.
Though I was still in the hospital I was now able to move around. Yet an IV was still stuck in my arm and followed me around while I walked the lonely halls of the recovering patents. I pushed the horrible thoughts out of my head. Shuffling through the halls with my friend the IV following me close behind. It hurt to breath still but I managed.
The white stained walls looked down on us. They probably are full of sad and happy moments in life. Probably has seen more then I'll ever see.
I pushed by the lonely stragglers that where taking a walk just like me. I said my excuse mes to them and they just smiled a non joyful smile. Just like a smile that was painted onto a frown. Much like a clown.
I walked past one room and heard a baby crying and joyful sobs of a mother. The sight it's self looked like it was from an old painting. The mother holding her new born while the father hugged her and kissed her forehead.
In another room you could hear the painful screams of a woman. The sobs she screamed get me out of here. It was a blood curdling yell. That left shivers running down my spine. The sight was seeing an elderly lady pulling at her hair. Screaming to no one in preticular.
Then the next room was silence. I knew this room to well. I had paid many visits to the room over the last day and a half the visiter had been here laying silently on a bed. To a stranger he'd probably look dead. But if you looked closely you could see the faint rising and falling of his chest. His head wrapped in cloth. Bruised body. Wrapped hands. But most of all, no joyous smile.
I mostly just looked in through the small window. His family was gathered around his room. His father looked as if he hadn't slept in days with dark black circles around his eyes and pale lips.
His mother had puffy eyes and white nuckles from clinging onto Jasper's limp hand. Her short red hair clung to the sides of her face. Her dark brown roots showing because she hadn't dyed them in so long. Her bottom lip quivered and lost tears threatened to spill down her face.
A girl sat on a chair in the hospital, although she was sleeping, she still looked like she was in pain. Her worn eyes where gently shut and tears where glued to her cheeks. Her pale white cheeks had sunken in leaving her cheekbones to stick out. She had long brown hair that went mid back. It gently hung in her face. Her lips where a fine white and she looked in pain.
But yet the boy in the corner is what got to me. He wore a black hoodie. Looked to be about thirteen. He had brown almost black hair that hung in his face with just as brown eyes. He reminded me of a lost boy without a mum, even though his mum was right in the room he still looked unloved.
Yet in the moment he looked so lost. His big eyes where bloodshot and his face a faded grey. His legs where pulled up to his chest and he stared at the wall. Almost to scared to look away. To scared to face reality.
My eyes clung to the scene a little longer until I couldn't take it any more.
I shuffled along the floors back to the same square room. The same white walls. The same cardboard bed. The identical room to all the rest in this hospital.
Once I made it into the white walled room I curled up on my bed. Visions of Molly running through the woods caught up in my mind. I could just imagine her lost. Scared and lonely. Needing love. Soon she should be back. I could feel it.
