Jasper hadn't woken up, much to my surprise. I don't know why it made me feel happy. Probably because I like his girlfriend. I had decided to just be there for her and be her friend. We had become really close over the past week.
At the moment I was laying in the hospital bed my foot in a cast still and my stitches not raw anymore. I was staring out the window at the grass and parking lot. People coming in and out of the building. I heard the door creak open but didn't have to look who it was because I had smelt the smell of bitter sweet perfume that she always wore. And the lemon smell of that of her hair. I had become acquainted with that smell and now it comforted me.
"Hello Molly." I said just above a whisper, but I knew she heard me.
"Hiya." I turned my head in her detection to see her eyes where puffy and red rimmed from crying. She was biting her lower lip and fumbling with her hands, her dark bagged eyes locked with the floor.
"What's wrong?"
"Jasper..."
"What about him?" It worried me to see her in such a state, although I know she had been in worse.
"He isn't gonna wake up we don't think, I went to go see him. His mother and sister hates me. His dad sees pity for me. And his brother is the only one with understandment. I'm confused and your jealous of a guy in a coma. "
"I-" I was cut off. She put her hand in the air as if to tell me to stop and closed her eyes like she was getting fed up with me.
"Don't try to deny it I can read you pretty easily. I'm scared and happy and sad all in one emotion and it's terrorizing to be in this state. My emotions are a roller coaster, and when I go and touch Jasper's body there isn't a connection anymore, I don't think I love him anymore. But if he wakes up how am I suppose to tell a guy who risked his life for me and is now in a coma because of me that I don't love him anymore, I like someone else? What kind of cruel person does that?"
By now her voice was raised a bit and she was looking me dead in the eyes.
"Listen I know your feeling like this and I don't know what to do to help I just want to see all your pain gone." I spoke to her with precaution.
"Don't do that!" She yelled at me
"Do what?!" I was so confused.
"Make me feel guilty."
"Why are you guilty?" I already knew the answer but I wanted to hear her say it again.
"Where you not listening to me? I said I like you okay?" Her voice dropped to a whisper. I smiled a half hearted smile and only knew one way to help and I wasn't even sure if it was gonna help.
"You've probably had this done to you a lot but come here." I held open my arms.
She shook her head no but I persisted. She then slowly walked over me like I was a deadly desies and then climbed into the bed. I embraced her probably making it harder to chose but that didn't matter. Right now she needed comfort. And I was gonna give it to her.
"It'll be okay. It's okay if you don't chose me." I stroked her hair and rubbed circles on her back.
"But I don't love him anymore." She looked up at me with big green eyes.
"Well haven't you read shakespear, sometimes you have to sacrifice things for bigger things. And my feelings are nothing compared to his or yours."
"Yet if I don't love him then I won't have a happy life. I'll lead. Miserable one. Without you!" She intertwined her fingers with mine.
"I don't know what to do anymore." She mumbled. I knew she was in a constant battle with herself between the two of us. She had been through so much I could never ask that much from a seventeen year old girl. I stared out the window not saying anything. Just stroking her hair and watching as the green leaves turn orange and yellow red and brown Infront of my eyes. Gently flowering to the ground in small portions. As the sun fries the color out of the perfect green leaves making them crisp from wisdom and life and draws the color out of them. It was late afternoon and I didn't even know the date. In this time of seasons I used to always know the date. Yet my companion also known as my watch was not on my wrist anymore. I didn't even know the time. And yet I didn't wish to know. The more time there is the more likely jasper was to wake up to steal my princess from me. It frightened me and made me happy at the same time. Being happy because my princess will have no more troubles.
I turned my attention to Molly. She laid in my arms peacefully had cried silent tears until she fell into a restless sleep.
She looked so peaceful. You'd never know the stress this girl has went through. All you can know right now is she's a normal seventeen year old sleeping away the time. Yet really she is a woman that has been through so much more then the ordinary teenager. Most girl or even boys would collasp under all that pressure and pain. But not her. She stood high and tall. Yet her life isn't even nearly over yet.
I stroked her hair and smiled at memory's is my mum. My nose became runny and tears stung my eyes. Yet I didn't release them to come spilling over my cheeks. Instead I locked them up along with the memory's and pushed them in the back of my brain.

I looked around the room I came to know too well. I've been locked up here for quite some time. Listening to the heart moniters and the howling of the wind outside my window. I needed to get out of this hospital. The doctors said that in one week they'd take off my cast. That the stitches shouldn't be so raw and that I'd be able to walk again soon. That I needed to strengthen my muscles.
I couldn't wait until this stupid cast was off and I could get out if this hospital.
But for now if have to wait.
