It's the way Cherry laughs..

OK so I was listening to "Sugar" by Robin Schulz while writing this and I can vividly remember listing to this song when I was 10 and feeling like a bad b*tch. So go listen to it. In the name of my bad b*tch ten year old self.

"Babe, you look gorgeous. Can we leave now?" Your girlfriend Cherry said, standing behind you. You'd been staring in the mirror, pouting, for quite a while now. You sighed and nodded.
"Great! I was thinking we'd meet up with Marcia and Bob and Randy when we get to the movies." She grabbed your hand and dragged you out the door.
"Awe you know Bob's got a crush on you right?" You groaned.
"Yes Y/N, but I've only got the hots for you." She giggled. You smiled. Cherry lit up your life. But she wasn't the same around her soc friends. You knew she was tough. She had to be. The south side could be cruel. Especially about girls who liked girls. That's why you guys had to keep it a secret.
"I feel like I'm leading Bob on.." she mumbled. She started the engine of her cherry red mustang. "I mean he doesn't know I'm not single. And what's he gonna do if he finds out? Tell the whole town I suppose.." She was right. You didn't want to admit it. But when Bob got mad he got mad. It was even worse if he was drunk. So something was bound to happen if Bob got rejected.
"It's alright." You assured her. "We can just move to New York."
"Aw shoot! You sound like Dallas. Always talking about New York. How bout you guys go move to New York together!" She huffed. You knew she wasn't really mad at you. She was just frustrated over Bob and having to keep secrets all the time.
You leaned closer and turned her head towards yours, fully aware that she was driving.
"I don't like Dallas. I like you." You kept your eyes locked as long as you could until she had to swerve back onto the road. A car slammed on the horn for at least 30 seconds behind you.
You watched as she tried not to smile. She frowned unnaturally and furrowed her eye brows. She caught you staring.
"What?!" She giggled exasperated. You laughed along with her. Her laugh was the cutest thing ever.
"You have an adorable laugh." You said.
"I know." She smirked, trying to keep her eyes on the road. You loved trying to make her laugh, just to hear the sound.
"One day." She said. "One day we won't have to hide from the world. I'm sure of it." She sighed. You sighed too.
"Promise?" You asked grabbing her hand.
"Pinky swear." She said locking her pinky with yours. She let out a wild laugh as she almost swerved off the road again.
