It's the way Soda's eyes sparkle
The bell to the DX dinged as you opened the door.
"Hey Sodie!" You called. You were greeted by a grumpy looking Steve Randall at the cash register.
"Who peed in your Cheerios?" You taunted Him.
"Your boyfriend." He responded. "He's in the break room puking and he left me to do the math." He said sourly.
"Why didn't you call me!" You exclaimed. You rushed back behind the counter to the break room.
You were greeted by a tired looking Soda sitting by a trash bin. You were currently training to be a nurse. Taking care of Soda and the gang was inevitable, especially with them constantly getting into rumbles and fights.
"Hey babe.." he mumbled. You sat down beside him.
"What's up Pepsi."
"Puking." He answered dryly.
"Alright, let's get you home." You said, helping him to his feet.
"What about Steve?" He asked. You snickered.
"Steve can take it."After you two loaded into your small toaster car, you got back to the Curtis house. Soda insisted on laying on the couch instead of him and Pony's bed. He didn't want to get Pony sick too.
He hadn't thrown up, which was a good sign. You didn't have to be a nurse to know that. No one was home so you had the whole house to yourself.
You soaked a dish towel in some cold water and rang it out. You hadn't checked if he was running a fever, but you figured he was.
You went over to where he was laying, looking a little pale. He has his eyes closed and he startled when you put the towel on his forehead. His eyes got wide until they met yours and he remembered what was going on. His eyes got this mischievous glint. It was amazing how much you would tell from just his eyes.
"Hey pretty nurse." He said, puckering his lips.
"Are you really trying to flirt with me." You giggled.
"No..." he said turning away. You just laughed and sat across from him in Darry's chair.
He opened one of his eyes to glance at you. You stuck your tongue out. He stuck his out too and giggled. It was crazy how even with the stomach flu ~you presumed~ he still had his charm and that sparkle in his eyes.
