I'll put the worst ones last so the bad ones are easy to skip- I'm also making imagines out of these
Cherry: (gambling) Ever since you started working at Bucks you've been different and Cherry noticed. You came home later each night, on edge most times and occasionally over the moon. When Cherry came into Bucks late one night to see what you were up to, she found you getting your shit rocked in a game of pool. She found out from Buck that you'd lost lots of money gambling lately and he was thinking about firing you, as this wasn't the best environment for a gambling addiction.
Darry: (caffeine) Dating Darry means that you're just as busy as Darry. You're like a mother to the gang, but they're very hard to keep up with. Coffee and energy drinks had become more essential to you than air. (I relate to this HARD.) But the come down from caffeine isn't so great. You get really sick one night and Darry puts two and two together. He didn't know how bad you had it but now he isn't going to let you drink nearly as much as you did before. It's a rough road.
Steve: (apologizing) Ok yes I know this one is weird. And it's more of a habit than an addiction but I was out of things to be addicted to besides porn. I don't have the mental capacity to write that right now 🥴. But any who- you apologize for every little thing and it drives him batty. Because in his eyes you're perfect, so you two work on it.
Two Bit: (alcohol) Two Bit drinks a lot but not nearly as much as you. Y'all do it for the same reason though- to get so wasted you forget your problems. When he met you he vowed to stop. You tried to stop as well but you caved a while in. You tried to hide it for a couple days before he noticed. You were scared to death that he would be mad at you but he told you he understood and he was going to help you.
Ponyboy: (cigarettes) Everyone in the gang smoked once and a while. Mostly Dally and Ponyboy. But when you started smoking more and more Pony got concerned. He brushed it off until you went into a coughing fit one evening and you couldn't breathe. He was scared to death and made you promise to quit smoking.
Dally: (painkillers) Painkillers literally make you numb. Mainly physically but they also give you that "euphoria" feeling because you can't feel anything, so it can become an emotional dependency as well. In your case, you accidentally got addicted to them when you got discharged from the hospital a month ago. They prescribed you really strong painkillers for your hand that you jammed in the door. *flashbacks to the Ponyboy imagine* Well your hand healed but you kept taking them for every little pain you felt. Sometimes even when you got sad because it would take the heavy feeling off your chest. Dally had picked up on your weird behavior for a while, but he'd had enough one night when you couldn't even walk straight. He confronted you and threw the pills away.
Johnny: (dieting) Your relationship with food was never good. You were an overweight kid, let's face it, but now that you'd grown up you were an average size and weight. You were healthy. For a while... until you decided you wanted to be thinner. So you cut out all drinks besides water. Then you cut out sugar. But you still weren't thin enough so you cut out gluten. Then.. you cut out food. Johnny had loved you through all of this, and he didn't notice what was going on until it was too late. You collapsed at the Curtis house while making dinner. He was away at the time, but when he got the panicked call from Soda he drove right to the Curtis house. Let's say it only got better from that day.
Sodapop: (self harm) Okay this is majorly triggering so please don't read this if you know it's too much for you. ^^^ Soda was the light of your life and you were the light of his. But he couldn't always fix everything and he hated that. You had a bad habit or even an addiction to hurting yourself to cope with your negative emotions. It was mainly whenever you did something wrong or hurt someone else is any way. You'd told Soda that you did it in the past but he wasn't prepared when he walked in on you doing it in the middle of the night. It wasn't just something you could stop and he understood that, but he vowed to help you in every single way he could. He promised you'd never be alone.
