Darry: This ones kind of predictable but losing his family/brothers. His parents dying was bad enough and he couldn't stand to lose Pony and Soda as well.
Steve: Ending up like his father. Daddy issues have entered the chat <3 But he's afraid that he'll become a drunk old man who's got nothing more to live for than booze and tormenting his children.
Sodapop: Disappointing people. He's always so good to everyone that he's genuinely afraid of letting them down. Especially Darry. He feels like it's his job to keep his family together.
Cherry: her reputation. She knows the power she holds and it scares her. She worries that she'll never get to be who she wants to be as long as she's popular.
Johnny: Again kind of predictable but his parents. He knows he's safe with the gang but he can't help but wonder what would happen to him if they weren't around.
Ponyboy: Dally 😃
Two Bit: He's afraid of people knowing the real him. He's always been the 'comic relief' and never opens up because he's afraid of what people would think of him. He drinks and smokes too much to ease his worry.
Dallas: Dying (oops.) Everyone knew he was never going to grow old, even him. But he couldn't help but wonder what would happen once he did die.
