This ones for everyone who hates the dark cause I'm goin THROUGH it tonight

You were never, EVER, sleeping at the Curtis house again. It was 5am on the dot and Darry would be getting up for work soon, but you still hadn't slept. The whole gang decided to crash here for the night so of course you joined in on the tough greaser slumber party.
Your brother, Two-Bit, made you sleep in the guest bedroom. He didn't want you sleeping downstairs with all the guys, and you really didn't want to either.
You'd tucked yourself into the big bed at about midnight and you'd been lying awake ever since. The door was completely closed and there weren't ANY lights in the room, leaving you in the pitch black. Just to rub it in, the moon wasn't even out tonight.
You were afraid of all the things that could be lurking in the dark. You sighed at yourself, knowing it was a childish thought. But you couldn't help the fear of the unknown.
Two Bit knew you hated the dark but he must have forgotten. Or maybe he just didn't care.
You were too afraid to get up and open the door and too afraid to close your eyes. From the second the sun went down, you knew you were trapped. Paralyzed from fear.
You heard the wind pick up speed. You held your breath. Seconds later you heard the cheerful noise of wind chimes. It would have been nice except for it was pitch black on a foggy Tuesday morning and you were about to piss yourself. And if you've ever heard wind chimes at night, you know it's the creepiest thing ever.
You couldn't help the tears from streaming down your face. You felt so helpless. Your dumb body couldn't even move and you were scared of what would happen if you did. It seemed like it would never end.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the door creaking open.
Heat filled your body as pure terror set off in your brain.
"Please don't." You managed to whisper, expecting the worst.
    "Y/n?" Said a familiar voice.
The figure in the door was tall and muscular. Of course.
    "Darry?" You whispered.
"Yeah.. it's just me.." he said approaching you uncertainly. "Are you cryin?"
As he came closer you got a better view of his face. He looked tired but concerned.
"No I ain't cryin I'm fine." You grumbled. He sat down on the bed beside you. You were still in the upright position you'd been in since you got here. He reached over and wiped the tears off your cheeks. His hands were cool on your burning face.
"How bout you cool the tough act and tell me what's up?" He said sarcastically. You sighed.
   "I can't sleep..."
    "Mhm." He urged you on.
"Because I don't like being in the dark. And I couldn't get up cause I was too scared and I thought something was going to happen if I did, and I didn't want somethin to happen while I slept and-" he cut you off.
"Simmer down.. its okay." He reassured putting a hand on your cheek. "I gotta go to work, but we're gonna put you on the chair downstairs where the gang is. Would that help?" He asked.  You nodded and he helped you out of the bed. Your hands were shaking from lack of movement and fear.
Darry took notice of this.   "Wow kid you must've really got worked up" he said.
You took a deep breath and nodded.
Once you were downstairs you tip toed over the sleeping boys to Darry's rocking chair. You curled up in the seat and he covered you up with a blanket. You were so tired that you'd already started to drift off.
"I gotta go kiddo but I'll see you once I get home.." he patted your shoulder. "Get some sleep."
You hummed in agreement and drifted off, finally feeling safe. The sun was already coming through the window.

Thought I would do something about Darry's sweet side. Also sorry it's short I'm about it knock out
