"JERK!"
Gasps were heard from the students around us. My body was literally running with anger. Four other boys came from behind and one of them appears to Beomgyu. They also seemed confused with the situation in front of their friend.
The boy who I hit turned his head towards me, giving me an intimidating look. I think I opened up his bad side, whoops.
He picked up my notebook and calmly walked to where I was standing. My heart was beating too fast with his close contact and the suspense he was delivering.
"Here,"
I blinked a couple of times and looked down below. He was handing me back my
diary.Wow, I got worked up for nothing.
I snatched the precious gift from his hands and narrowed my eyes at him. The boy later walked away with his group of friends.
"Mirai! Are you hurt??" Jinhee studied my appearance head to toe with a worried expression.
"Nope! I feel fine," I lied. I was still holding in the pain in my chest since it was elbowed by that boy's arm.
"What did I miss?" Beomgyu whispered while eating a bag of chips. Honestly this kid needs to get with the program.
Jinhee took a deep breath before she spoke, "your friend bumped into Mirai."
Beomgyu furrowed his brows and gazed back at the boys, "who, Taehyun?"
"Well whatever his name is, he made me look like a fool!" I gritted my teeth and rolled up my blazer sleeves, ready to smack him on the ground.
"Easy, girlie," Beomgyu wrapped his arms around my waist to prevent myself from killing the guy.
"I'll talk to you guys, later. I'm gonna perform soon!" The boy said, while excitedly jumping.
"We'll be watching," Jinhee smiled.

But I love it..——
After school Jinhee, Beomgyu and I walked to our local library to check out some books for our literature project that was due in a couple of weeks. We had to pick a book and describe the importance of the main character in it.
"What genres are you guys going for?" I asked as we sat at a table flipping pages of some books.
"I've been reading a lot of fantasy books so maybe fantasy," Jinhee responded before turning to the boy next to her.
"What about you Beom-"
Beomgyu had his head completely faced down on the table.
Jinhee and I exchanged the same confused expression.
The boy dramatically lifted his head up.
"This book is so cool!" He started slapping Jinhee's arm and smiling freakishly big."Okay! okay! You can stop hitting me," Jinhee said in an irritating way.
I laughed at their little moment. "What's it about?"
"Okay so this boy and girl travel together and discover a legendary castle in the sky!"
I nodded back at Beomgyu who seems to be in love with the book he found."Umm Mirai," Jinhee tapped on my hand. I looked up at the girl and softly smiled.
"Isn't that the boy who bumped into you?"
Beomgyu and I faced the direction that Jinhee was pointing at. She was right, it was Taehyun. My nose started twitching after seeing his face again but this time something was off. Why did he look so worried?
"We need to hide!" Beomgyu panicked as he grabbed both of our hands.
"What? why-"
The boy quickly pulled us to the nearest bookshelf. There we hid from Taehyun.
"IamsostupidwhyarewehereImgonnagetinsomuchtrouble.."
Jinhee and I watched our friend walk around in circles stressingly.
"Beomgyu what's going on??" Jinhee raised her voice as she stopped the boy from taking another step.
"If you didn't know, Taehyun recently just broke up with his girlfriend," Beomgyu started.
I cringed at the words that came out. "He has a girlfriend? Or should I say, had a girlfriend?"
The boy nodded. "He's still struggling over the truth since she was his everything, literally."
"Hmm, maybe that's why he was so rude to Mirai," Jinhee reasoned.
"And I'm pretty sure he's waiting for her to come."
We all remained quiet and peeked through the corner of the shelves, to see Taehyun. From our perspective, he was sitting, patiently waiting for his ex to come.
"I feel bad." Jinhee confessed. I gave her a disgusted look. "Why?"
"He loved her and— wait did she?"
"Yup, she broke up with him." Beomgyu continued Jinhee's sentence.
"Yikes," I mumbled. So this is the dangerous thing called love.
"OH! There she is!" Beomgyu loudly whispered. The three of us laid low and peeked our heads to watch the movie unfold. We couldn't tell what they were saying but we took hints from their body language.
"She doesn't look too happy to see him," Jinhee studied from what she saw.
"We should stop spying on them. We look like freaks," I told the two as we backed away from the edge of the bookshelf.
"Beomgyu how did you even know about all this?"
Jinhee and I turned to the boy and gave him a suspicious look.
"I wasn't supposed to know. That's why we are hiding," he whispered back to us.
"When we were discussing about our new song for the festival, my friend Yeonjun told me that Taehyun broke up with his girlfriend and he is still depressed about it. Yeonjun was the only one who knew about the relationship."
I formed an O on my lips and nodded for understanding.
"So pretty much that stupid friend of yours is spreading the breakup?" Jinhee summed up. Beomgyu gave out his dimples and nodded like a child.
"But why did they break up?"
That was the real question that floated above our gossip. Beomgyu stayed silent for awhile then heaved out a sigh.
He started pinching opposite sides of our cheeks playfully. "You two are very nosy!"
"Yeah, we know," Jinhee and I said, syncingly.
Taking a deep breath, Beomgyu brought us closer to the circle.
"So this is what I heard from my stupid friend, Yeonjun."
