First period came to a close and students began filling the hallways in a matter of minutes. It was day three of midterms which means two more days till the last test. Jinhee, Mirai, and Beomgyu wanted to use every moment of each break they received in school to study so they strolled to the library together.
"Jinhee! Are you dating the captain or what!?" Mirai excitedly asked her friend in which she returned a bashful expression.
"D-Don't say that out loud Mirai!"
"She's not denying it!" said Beomgyu.
It was very rare to see Jinhee be acting all defenseless in this type of situation because she was never the type to be interested in relationships in the first place. She thought they were so pointless until she got caught up in her own little romance with the captain of the boy's basketball team. Without a single hesitation, Mirai and Beomgyu made sure to joke Jinhee about it.
"Jinhee and Haru sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G" the two yelled in unison.
The girl simply rolled her eyes from their response. "why do I still hang out with you guys..."
Mirai let out a laugh and began to hug Jinhee's arm. "aww don't say that! You know you love us"
"Unfortunately"
After a while, the three bumped into Taehyun, who recently just came out of his class. It didn't take long for the boy to notice their presence so he decided to approach them.
"Ah if it isn't Kang Taehyun!" Beomgyu greeted, before giving his friend a high five.
"Hey guys, are you all going to study in the library again?" he asked, noticing how they each brought their textbook with them.
Mirai nodded. "Yup! You should join us"
The boy let out a smile before saying, "Yeah sure I'll-"
"Hey Mirai, I thought you were going to help me file some papers in the staff lounge?"
Hearing the sudden voice out in the distance, the group turned their heads to see who called out to the girl.
It was Soobin, who was struggling to carry one heck of a load of papers. The sight made Mirai immediately reach out to him.
"Oh crap! I forgot about that! Sorry guys, I forgot that I was busy with something" She apologized, giving her textbook to Taehyun.
"with Soobin again?" Taehyun inquired.
Mirai sheepishly scratched her head before Jinhee gave out a response. "No, it's fine"
With that settled, Soobin and Mirai took off from the rest and began doing the chores that needed to be done. The look that Taehyun was giving away already showed how much he was becoming irritated about Soobin.
