"Hey wait!" Taehyun yelled, keeping his eyes to where the end of stairs led. He questioned that whole conversation he had with Jinhee and as much as he wanted to believe what she said was unimportant, he felt like she was hiding something from him.
But to his dismay, it appeared that Jinhee wasn't going to turn back for him. Heaving a sigh, the boy proceeded to head back to where his other friends were.
After a couple of minutes, Jinhee caught up to where Mirai and Soobin were standing.
"What did you guys talk about?" Mirai asked as she noticed Jinhee having a rather irritated look.
"Oh nothing important" She mumbled while crossing her arms.
Jinhee knew about Mirai's feelings, and from the conversation she had with Taehyun, she also knew that Mirai would get hurt if she kept following his orders so naively. She needed to protect her best friend at all cost.
"Mirai, will you promise me something?"
Even though Mirai didn't know what Jinhee was going to ask, she still trusted her and agreed to promise. "Yeah of course"
Jinhee gripped her hands onto Mirai's shoulders and intensely locked her gaze with hers. "Promise me that you will stay away from Taehyun. Don't even think about talking to him for the rest of the week"
Mirai seeing her best friend act so serious, sent chills down her spine. She knew that Jinhee was already aware of how she was trying to lose feelings so maybe it was her way of helping her out.
Taking the advice, Mirai hesitantly nodded. "Y-yeah I won't!"
Jinhee's serious glare reverted back to her normal calm look. "Okay then, see you at 6th period!"
Mirai and Soobin watched as Jinhee left to the opposite hallway and both exchanged weird looks at each other.
"That was quite interesting to bump into those two," Soobin said as he looked back at Mirai. The girl returned a nod and headed back inside the classroom. "anyways, let's continue to where we left off"
With that being said, the two continued to help each other out with cleaning the classrooms before their lunch period ended.

The next day came by quickly, and it was already the start of a brand new morning. Taehyun and Huening Kai decided to take the bus, heading to school together.
You could already guess that Taehyun was still bothered about yesterday.
"Answer me this, Kang Taehyun. Do you like Mirai more than a friend?"
The boy twitched his eyes as he remembered Jinhee's words crystal clear. He was always so straight to the point when it came to abrupt questions like that, but this one threw him off real good. He knew that his feelings were for Jeonmae and Jeonmae alone, but why did he hesitate so much when it involved Mirai? For once, he wasn't sure.
