".... Wait this isn't my room"
Mirai squinted her eyes as she scanned her surroundings slowly. From the looks of it, she was in a basic-looking hospital bedroom. Plain white walls, a closed window to her right with cream-colored curtains, and a medium-sized television screen hanging on the wall.
Back here again...
This wasn't the first time she's spent the night in the hospital, as a matter of fact, this was probably like her second home.
She had a white patient gown and a breathing mask that covered the majority of her face. It was quite difficult to move so she decided to take it off.
"Oh, you're finally awake!" Mirai turned her head to the voice and it was none other than her friend, Beomgyu.
"Beomgyu? What are you doing here?" She asked tiredly, trying her best to sit up straight.
"Checking up on you," he scooted his chair next to her before speaking again, "So how are you feeling?"
"I feel fine I guess," she replied with a yawn. The girl noticed how Beomgyu was wearing his school uniform, making her wonder how long he stayed with her. "Did school end already?"
"Yup! It's already 4:30 p.m." he sheepishly grinned.
The girl let out a small giggle. "Wow, I slept for a pretty long time. Anyways, what exactly happened to me?"
"You fainted back in the ice cream shop and Soobin brought you to the hospital"
Mirai's heart skipped a little beat as she thought of Soobin carrying her to the hospital. "Soobin did that?"
"Yup! He was really worried for you," he said.
"Oh was he.." Mirai felt terribly guilty for Soobin. He had to go through all that trouble to make sure that she was safe. But it made her have a fluffy feeling inside as she thought of his gentle acts of kindness. "When I meet him during school, I'll make sure I give him my thanks"
Beomgyu agreed to what the girl before saying, "So as of right now, it's only me, Jinhee, and Soobin that know your condition"
"Okay good," Mirai felt relieved that the others didn't know about this. Soobin kept his word then.
"Anywhoo~"
Mirai tilted her head to the side as she saw Beomgyu reach for something in his backpack. "I bought you some honey bbq pork!" He gleamed while holding the plastic bowl.
Mirai's eyes lit up at the sight of the food. "Thank you!" She chimed, taking the plastic bag and hurriedly taking the cover off of the plastic bowl.
