It was the next day and Mirai felt determined than no other. She usually acts like this right after a hospital visit and in order for her friends to not worry so much about her, she makes sure that she has a lot of energy and positivity.
"Just act like nothing happened, just act like nothing happened" she repeated to herself as she patted down on her uniform.
Now that her two best friends know that she has feelings for Kang Taehyun, she must act in a way that the others don't find out as well. Especially the one who she lays feelings for.
"Bye-Bye!" Was the last thing Mirai said before leaving the house. She ran down the sidewalk which led to her best friend, Jinhee, who was patiently standing.
"Mirai! Good morning" Jinhee greeted with a soft grin.
"Jinhee, I missed you so much!" The vibrant girl wrapped her arms around her friend, squeezing her in the process. "Same, I'm glad that you are okay. What did the doctors say?"
The girl thought back to the conversation she had with her doctor.

Of course she couldn't tell Jinhee all that or else she'll freak out and start getting all emotional. She had to lie.
"They said.... that my health is getting better! And that my attacks won't happen as often anymore, isn't that great!"
Jinhee couldn't believe the words that she was hearing. "Wait really? That's actually great news!"
Mirai nodded. This was the first time she wasn't honest about her condition and it made her feel guilty seeing Jinhee all relieved. But it was only for the better.
"So shall we get going?" said Mirai with a smile, who was given a small nod in return. "yeah, let's go"
It wasn't long before the girls reached the campus and were later making their way to their classroom. The bell was about to ring any minute now which led to many students crowding the hallways. Even though Mirai only skipped one day of school, it felt like she has never been in this environment for a long time.
Before they entered their classroom, they made a quick stop by their lockers to grab their math textbook.
"I can't believe we have math the first thing in the morning ugh" said Jinhee as she rolled her eyes. Mirai couldn't help but let out a small giggle. "Yeah it sucks"
"Oh hey Mirai!"
"Gah!!" That familiar voice immediately threw the girl off causing her to drop her textbook. Please don't be...
"Oh Taehyun," Jinhee waved a hello to which he returned back. "Where's Beomgyu?"
"They're on their way here, probably making a stop at the vending machine" He responded while also grabbing his stuff in his locker. The boy's attention then shifted to the girl next to Jinhee.
