"they're all so nice... i never thought there would be someone in our situation!", seokmin rambled as the three lee-brothers made their way home. it was already 6 pm, they got caught up talking with the boys they met earlier. one or another way, everyone got to tell his lifestory and why they had been in the music room.

thinking back, jihoon thought that the silent treatment his father gave him was still times better than jisoo's father who was abusing him or seungcheol's constant drunk father. but oddly, he felt the most sympathy for the hyperactive hamster soonyoung.
it was odd for jihoon, since he wasn't someone who got attached that easily, but as soon as he saw soonyoung sitting there, crying while telling them about his parents and his dream to dance, something moved in jihoon's heart.

-three hours earlier-
"shh... it's okay, you don't need to cry!" the twelve boys where all gathered around mingyu, who was crying like a little baby after suddenly bursting out with his lifestory, about his addicted parents and the whole situation. even wonwoo was humming something along the lines of "it's going to be okay" and trying to comfort the tall boy.

after mingyu stopped, he smiled at everyone thankfully and said: "so, after i've told you everything, i think it would be good if we all talked about everything...it feels really good, i promise!"

to everyone's surprise, soonyoung started before even waiting a second. he had been wanting to tell someone so badly, he couldn't control the waterfall of words anymore.

"i wanna become a dancer - i've dreamt of that since i started dancing at the age of five. but my-my parents... they don't support me. they're trying to force me to become some stupid office-guy. but i can't even write a single sentence unless it's about dancing! they don't understand m-me..." his last words were drowned in the first sobs.
jihoon stared at the tears streaming down the chubby cheeks in shock. his heart felt like it had been torn out, cut in half and placed back in. he wanted, no he needed to help this guy. he was so pure, he didn't do anything wrong and yet, he had to suffer.

jihoon clenched his fists as he jumped up from the floor, ran over to the crying boy and engulfed him in a warm hug. soonyoung went silent immediately and pink rushed up his wet cheeks as he smelled the lemon-scent of the shorter.

the others didn't dare to interfere after seokmin shushed them away. chan and seokmin where shocked and suprised - jihoon wasn't a friend of skinship and he panicked whenever he saw someone cry. normally, he would just hug the one crying shortly and then back away. but certainly not hold them like his life depended on it.
>>he holds him like soonyoung could shatter any minute...<<, chan thought.
and somehow, it was true - they were all shattering already. some more, some less, but they were all broken.
thirteen broken boys who's lives got fucked up at such a young age... it was sad to think about it.

-present-
"shit, we're dead!", chan suddenly whispered, as they walked up to their house. they could see the shadow of their father standing in the doorframe already.

"YOU LITTLE SHITS, WHERE WERE YOU, FUCKING SOME DISGUSTING GAYS?"

all three flinched and stared at each other in horror. they already knew, his was going to be one hell of a night.

"well, after the party comes the hangover...", seokmin muttered. they composed themselves quickly before walking up to their dad.

seokmin cuddled jihoon closer, trying to ignore his stinging cuts and the piercing screams from downstairs.

it wasn't different from every other time - jihoon got a sharp glance and a "you little piece of shit, why is this dirt in my house?", seokmin had to endure another hour of insults that cut his heart open and also his wrists.
