"trying to save your boyfriend, aren't we?"

>>shit<<, thought chan, as the two guys turned around and walked up to him with a matching dangerous grin on their faces. of course he didn't think before acting...

"he's not my boyfriend! we've just met a few times!"

"yeah. two gay guys meeting up and you're telling me you're not together?", one of them scoffed, while the other just rolled his eyes and mumbled: "come on, let's just finish them before the bell rings."

wonwoo watched in horror as the bullies walked up to chan and one of them hit him across the face. chan immediately kicked him in the stomach, but now the other one started punching him.

"fuck, i have to do something..." wonwoo left his books and bag on the ground and stood up, throwing one of his books at the fighting boys and hitting one of them on the back.

"you are still here? are you dumb? run!" chan stared at wonwoo in shock, but wonwoo didn't bother answering and just threw a punch at the bully who was holding chan down on the floor.
"you really think i would let you deal with them alone?"

seungcheol ran down the hallway, classes were starting in less than five minutes and he didn't want to be late. >>shit, why didn't i think of the broken alarm clock?<<

yesterday, his father had thrown seungcheol's alarm clock across the room in his anger and now, the boy was late because his alarm was broken.

"little fucker, why did you step up if you can't even fight?"

chan was currently in a rather uncomfortable position, laying on the floor with one of the bullies punching and kicking him, while the other one was scaring wonwoo off with kicks and punches.

"huh? how did you get these? some kind of loser you are - it's hilarious!" the guy was laughing his ass off, while chan tried to somehow get up and back away, while at the same time covering up his bare stomach. but it was hopeless - the kicking and punching had torn the shirt to a point it wasn't really helpful anymore and all the bruises and cuts were perfectly visible.

but once again, chan was safed - this time, by seungcheol.

"hey, what are you doing! get away from him! don't you see that he cant even defend himself!" seungcheol ran up to the two bullies and smacked one of them across the face so hard, chan felt blood drip down onto him.

"whoa, the second boyfriend is here - FUCK THE PRINCIPAL IS COMING! RUN, JEFFREY!!"

the two boys ran away, leaving seungcheol with a traumatised wonwoo in the corner and a passed out chan, stained in blood, not to mention the blood on his own knuckles from his punch. but it was already too late - he could only stand there, staring at the principal in horror.

"choi seungcheol! are you completely insane? beating up a student?", the old man started to scream as soon as he saw chan and seungcheol's hand.

"no! it's not what it looks like - this-this wasn't me!", seungcheol tried to defend himself, "it was someone else. i threw a punch at them and then, they left! i swear, i would never beat someone up!"

"it-it was really n-not him..."

both the boy and the principal turned around in surprise, as chan suddenly started moving again.
after struggling a bit, he stood up, leaning against the wall and gasping in pain as he leaned onto his hurt ankle.
seungcheol immediately rushed to his side, helping the younger one to stand straight.

"does it hurt much?" "nah, it's alright", chan replied with a sarcastic laugh.

"jeon, was it really not seungcheol?", asked the principal wonwoo, not even bothering to listen to chan.

"y-yes. it was s-someone else...", wonwoo whispered shakingly, a scared look thrown in chans direction.

things and incidents like that happened often, making his fear of people even grow. but never, never before had someone helped him. he was happy, but also terrified he would bring chan even more trouble. the young boy had told them a bit about his abusive dad, and seungcheol was getting abused as well. wonwoo didn't want them to go through the same things at school, just because he couldn't defend himself properly.

so, as always, he did the only thing he could do:

he ran away as fast as he could, leaving his books and bag there on the floor, as he sprinted down the hallway to the toilets.
but as he slammed the door open and ran in, he collided with someone's bare chest-

"what the fuck? where did you come from?"

"take him to the nurse and you, don't start a fight or i'll get you expelled!" the principal finally left after lecturing the two boys for a good five minutes, without even caring about the blood dripping down chan's face.

"ugh, i thought he would talk us to death here! come on, we have to hurry..." seungcheol sighed and picked up chan, leading him to the nurse's office.

it took them a good fifteen minutes to get there and when they walked in, all the nurse said was "today it's not that bad...someone helped you?". chan nodded with a sigh and sat down on the bed.

seugncheol looked from the nurse to chan and back to the nurse and at chan again. "what? this time it's not that bad?", he asked in disbelief.

to him, the little boy looked horrible - the torn shirt, the bare stomach that was covered in violet and blue bruises, his bruised face and the bleeding cuts everywhere possible.
how did he look the other times, if this wasn't 'that bad'? how often did he get into fights? why did the nurse already know him?

wonwoo backed away, blushing madly. he just ran into a shirtless mingyu!

"oh, it's you! funny we meet again that fast!", mingyu laughed and - to wonwoo's relief - put on his shirt again, while rambling on.

"you know, some stupid guy spilled water all over me! so i changed shirts... but the other one kinda...fell into the toilet? so now, i've just flushed it down. but it was my favourite t-shirt, so i'm kinda sad right now.." he poutet.

"you're like a giant puppy...", wonwoo sighed.
