Slowly, as Casey explores himself, he finds himself and learns what it truly means to be proud. Now that the self-promo is over, here's our Wolfstar oneshot! This takes place right before and during the Yule Ball as we never get to know how Remus and Sirius start to dance.

Remus' POV
"Sirius?" Remus called out, navigating the empty hallway of the 7th floor. He had tried to locate Sirius on the map, but his dot was nowhere to be found. Remus figured that he had to be in the castle, so he decided to try the Room Of Requirement.
I want to see Sirius Black.
I want to see Sirius Black.
I want to see Sirius Black.
As he walked back and forth, he couldn't help the silly grin that blossomed as he thought of Sirius. He had had a crush on Sirius for forever, but with this reputation as a player and his best friend, Remus was afraid to tip the delicate balance.
But when he suggested 'going as a pair', and Sirius accepted it without a second thought, a small seed of hope planted in his chest.
Now, every time Sirius said something to him or touched him, Remus would get these ridiculous butterflies in his stomach.
He still had the dopey grin on his face when the door shimmered into place. He grasped the handle and pulled it open - and his grin fell.
The sight that met his eyes was Sirius and a blonde witch, kissing passionately as if their lives depended on it. As soon as they heard the door opening, Sirius pushed the witch away from him.
Remus suddenly found it very hard to speak. "Sirius?" he whispered.
Sirius sprang up, snatching his wand from a nearby table. The room was filled with flowers, the scent almost overpowering Remus' wolf senses. He took an instinctive step backwards as Sirius came towards him.
"I swear that this isn't what it looks like, Moony," Sirius said, his eyes fixed on Remus. The girl let out a indignant huff, but Sirius paid her no attention. "Moony - "
Remus somehow found his voice again. "It's fine. Go with Allison. I - I'll just hang with Peter." He sent him a watery smile and managed to stumble away from the room before Sirius could follow him.
It wasn't until he was safely out of sight did he scream.
ooo
Remus tugged on his much too tight robes. He had splurged on an entirely new set of robes for Sirius, and now it was going to be wasted on Peter.
"Are you ready?" Peter asked, looking at him apologetically. Even he knew how crazy he was about Sirius.
"Yeah," Remus smiled tiredly. "Thanks." At least he always had his friends to count on.
A few minutes into the ball, Remus knew it was a mistake to be there. Draco and Hermione seemed to be having fun, and James and Lily were having the time of their lives. Even Peter had found the shy Mary MacDonald and was chatting her up.
After an hour of sitting alone and drinking thirteen cups of punch, Remus got up. He hadn't seen Sirius yet, and he was planning on avoiding him for as long as he could. He went to the garden and slumped against the wall, watching the moon.
"Remus?"
Remus jumped as a familiar voice called his name. His surprise turned into an indiscernible emotion when he recognized the speaker.
"I'm not feeling well, Sirius, so if you could please leave, it would be appreciated," Remus lied, keeping his gaze fixed on the moon.
Sirius paid him no heed and crossed the path to stand next to him. "It's a beautiful night."
Remus blinked away tears. "What's your deal, Sirius?"
Sirius peeled himself away from the wall to face Remus with confusion. "Sorry?"
Remus crossed his arms. "I mean - I just didn't think you'd ditch for Allison."
Sirius furrowed his brow. "I didn't come to the dance with Allison. I came alone."
A faint inkling of hope blossomed in Remus, but he pushed it away firmly. "You kissed her."
Sirius looked alarmed. "Moony, I thought you rea - "
"Don't Moony me," Remus said viciously.
Sirius took Remus' hand and covered it with his own. "Moony," he said very softly. "I didn't kiss her. She kissed me, and I pushed her off as you came in. I would never kiss her. I don't love her."
Remus tried to push Sirius hand off, but Sirius caught his other hand. "Then who is it?" he said.
Sirius stepped closer to Remus, his face so close that he could see a faint splattering of freckles. "It's you, Moony. It's always been you."
And suddenly, his lips were against Remus' and Remus forgot how to breathe. He sagged against the wall as Sirius let go of his hand to cup his cheek delicately. Their lips moulded together as Sirius dragged his finger against Remus' cheek.
And just as quickly as it had started, it was over. Remus' eyes fluttered as he took a few seconds to process what happened. He stared, open-mouthed at Sirius. "Wha - "
Sirius silenced him with another kiss, and Remus could feel his lips curve into a smile. Slowly, he relaxed.
Faint strains of a slow song wafted through the walls, and Sirius straightened up. The moonlight illuminated his grey eyes as he bowed towards Remus with his hand out.
"Can I have this dance?"
Remus smiled softly, accepting his hand. "You may."
And with that, they twirled together in the moonlight.
aWWWWWW
Anyways, I hope you check out The Color Of Love! Love you all!
