"Are you absolutely sure you'll be okay?"

Tina laughed and slipped her arms around Newt's neck.

"I'll be fine," she promised, pressing a kiss to his lips.

"Just promise me that you'll go to Olive if you need any help," Newt whispered.

"Of course."

He kissed her again and she smiled against his lips. As she moved to pull him closer they heard a knock on the door. She broke the kiss with a sigh and pulled out of his arms to move to open the door. Harper and Olive came into the apartment.

"Ready to go?" Harper said.

Newt nodded. "I guess so."

"Then get your things. We need to report to MACUSA before we leave."

"Right."

Newt grabbed his coat and pulled it on. Tina adjusted his collar as he pulled on his scarf.

"You take care of yourself," he whispered.

"Of course I will," she replied just as softly. "You take care of yourself. Don't get yourself killed, please."

"I'll do my best," he chuckled.

He slipped his arms around her waist and kissed her gently. She blushed, trying to ignore the fact that there were other people in the room. He pulled away a moment later, pressing his forehead to hers.

"I love you," he breathed so only she could hear.

"I love you too," she replied just as quietly. She kissed him again before he stepped away and picked up his case.

"Goodbye, Tina," he said. "I'll see you soon."

"Bye."

Having said goodbye to his wife, Harper left the apartment. Newt gave Tina another brief kiss before following after him. As she stared at the closed door, she felt Olive's hand on her shoulder.

"You sure you'll be okay?"

Tina turned, offering the woman a smile. "Of course. I'll be fine."

"Okay. Well, I've got to go to work soon."

"Ah. In the meantime, would you like some coffee?"

"Sure."

Tina quickly prepared two mugs of coffee. Olive mixed some sugar and milk into hers. Then they took a seat in the living room and sipped at their drinks.

"I just realized," Tina said. "I've never actually been on my own before. I mean, that I remember. Of course, I was away from my family for the first two years at Ilvermorny but I wasn't alone. I was in a dorm room with a number of girls. Then, my first two years out of school I was staying with a few other girls until Queenie graduated and we moved in here."

"And you still insist you'll be fine?"

"Of course."

Olive laughed and they finished their drinks in silence. When they were done, Tina took their empty mugs to the sink as Olive pulled on her coat.

"I've got to go to work now," she said. "I'll check back in this evening if that's alright with you."

Tina chuckled. "It's fine, but I think I don't really get a choice, do I? I mean, Newt wants you to."

Olive grinned. "You're right. I'll see you later."

"Bye."

Olive left and Tina began washing the mugs by hand just to kill time. When she was done she chose a book and settled down on the couch to read.
