I woke up the next morning my body was being slightly crushed by Shawn's.
I wiggled out of his tight grip on me and I sat up
On the edge of the bed just looking out at the morning sunrise from our bedroom. The beauty of the sun rising reflecting through our room creating a orange and red kind of glow was simply breathtaking.
The sound of the beautiful ocean waves crashing onto the rocks has been the soundtrack of each morning for the past three days since we got here to Bora Bora.
"Good morning beautiful." I felt his lips press onto my bare shoulder, I turned over to look at his sleepy eyes and smile.
"Morning handsome." Planting a small quick kiss on his forehead before he moved to sit up behind me pulling me into him.
"Hungry?" He asked kissing my temple as we both faced the beautiful view that we were blessed with in our private villa.
I nodded with a small smile on my face.
"What does the lady want for breakfast today?" He asked hugging me tighter into his chest. I couldn't help but giggle a little as I placed my hand over his and applied my own small dose of squeezes.
"Avocado with toast."
Shawn let out a big laugh throwing his head back allowing the sound to vibrate through our bedroom.
"I knew I married the woman of my dreams." He joked as he began to get off the bed.
As I watched him walk out of the room and into the kitchen area I relished in this moment deeply.
It had been about two months since he came back home and we started trying to work on rebuilding our relationship not just for the sake of Ana but for ourselves. Despite everything we both couldn't deny that we love each other like no one ever and it was worth fighting for. Not that it has been easy, but with help of marriage counseling we've been taking baby steps, and as part of one of our therapy works it was to try and spend time alone get back to us. So with a lot in consideration and a push from Karen we came to bora bora while Ana stood with her grandmother in Canada for the week.
The first day here we did some couples building exercise, the second night we had a romantic dinner on a yacht and Shawn serenaded me for the first time in a long time. It made me honestly cry and then of course he had a happy ending. Today I wasn't sure what was on the agenda Shawn was the one in control.
"Coming Yvette?" He shouted from the kitchen.
I got off the bed grabbing my silk robe and tying it around my naked body and walking into the kitchen. I sat on the counter of the island table watching as Shawn began to cut the avocado while the bread was in the toaster. He looked insanely adorable at how focused he was at making sure he cut everything accordingly. I sipped on my coffee in awe watching him, there were moment that I could swear I was in a state of unconsciousness and that this could all quite possibly be a dream.
"See something you like?" I heard him say as I adjusted my eyes off of his body and I met with his eyes and that boyish grin I loved and hated at times.
"Always." I responded pressing my lips to my mug my eyes never leaving his.
I saw the small red patch form on his cheeks as he turned back his focus to making breakfast with a chuckle.
"What's in today's agenda?" I asked placing my mug down and stepping lightly off the table and walking over to Shawn. My fingers leaving traces along his strong back muscles, making him shiver a little as he side eyed me with a smile on his lips yet again. "It's a surprise."
