Y/n's POV:

I comforted Sana until she finally fell asleep, safe and sound. I looked at her again. The moonlight shone on her face as she slept peacefully. She still looks so beautiful. To be honest, she looks much more beautiful now than 7 years ago. I placed my hand on her cheek and whispered, "Your arrival was a little bit too late, Sana. I can't be with you anymore. Only friendship is what's left for us. Nothing more, and nothing less."

I stood up and took another glance at her before going out of the room and heading into mine. I dropped onto the bed and checked my phone. It was already 12:00 am, but Miku still hasn't responded to my messages. I sent her one last message before I go to sleep. "Goodnight, my love. I hope you enjoyed your night," then I placed my phone on the bedside table and turned the lamp off before closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep.

The next morning came. I woke up to the warm rays of the sun shining on my face. I yawned and stretched my body, then I looked around the room and grabbed my phone. "10:23 am..." I muttered as I read the time. My eyes suddenly shot open when I remembered that Sana was inside the house! I quickly stood up which blurred my vision and almost made me lose my balance, but I managed to stay still.

I continued to run after I regained my balance, then I quickly opened the door and went out. "Sana!" I shouted, then I barged into the room that I put her in. She wasn't there though. I nervously looked around the room. It was very clean, as if no one actually stayed in there. As I searched for Sana inside the mansion, I kept on begging fate to not let everything be a dream, because I would die if that's the case. I don't want to lose her again. Not when I finally saw her after 7 years.

I had no luck in finding Sana, so I looked for the maids and asked them about Sana, but they said they didn't notice me bring Sana in, which was true because I only commanded one of them to change Sana's clothes, but unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found, and so was Mom! "Where the hell are they??" I asked, then I went outside the mansion and searched the compound. Lucky me- not really -the compound was so damn HUGE!

I entered the garden and looked around, but as I walked, I suddenly bumped onto someone shorter than me. I smelled her perfume, and I immediately recognized who she was. "Sana!!" I shouted, then I pulled her into a hug that almost squashed her. "W-WAAAAH!!!" Sana screamed as she tried to get out of my bear hug. When I realized that she was about to get crushed, I let go of her and cupped her cheeks. "What's up with you??" she asked, looking away from me.

"I thought everything was a dream! I thought I lost you again!" I said, then she blushed and smiled before looking at me. "And I woke up thinking that I was dreaming, because that room was so beautiful!" she said, then she placed her hand on top of my hands that were on her cheeks. "Don't worry, Y/n. I'm not going anywhere," she said, then she smiled even more sweetly, and I would be lying if I said that it didn't make my heart tingle.

Mom suddenly appeared out of nowhere like a Pokemon popping out of a bush. "You two are sweet. You know, I prefer Sana over-- what's her name?" Mom said, then I blushed and tried to say that it is not possible, but Sana raced me to it, saying, "Mom! We're just friends, right Y/n?" then she looked at me with that smile of hers. She's good at hiding how she truly feels. I know that deep inside her heart, she was in pain, but she smiles nonetheless.

To be honest, my heart aches whenever I see her in pain, whenever she hides her pain, but I don't have a choice other than to say, "Y-Yes, Mom. We're just... friends." I saw Sana show a hint of sadness inside her eyes, but I know that she doesn't want me to see. The thing is, I know her too well to not see the pain within the sweetest of her smiles. She doesn't know that I can see the shattered soul within her sparkling eyes. She doesn't know that I know the demons within her purity.
