Y/n's POV:

"You have the Minatozaki Sana as your girlfriend??" Claire asked as she took a sip from her iced tea. "Yep. Lucky is the word for me," I said, then she laughed. "Lucky you are, but also her. Imagine marrying a multi-billionaire like you? Man, that's like living the dream," she said, then she smiled just a little bit. "I guess. But do you know what 'living the dream' really is?" I asked her, then she looked at me in a confused way.

"It's when you finally got to experience what you've waited your whole life for."

She smiled a little bit more obviously now. "If that's the case, then I'm already living the dream," she said, then I'm the one who got confused. "What do you mean?" I asked her, then she looked at me. "I finally got to work for a big company like yours. I've waited for this ever since my mom passed away, and that was like 10 years ago? I was 13 at the time," she said and smiled bitterly. "I'm sorry to hear about it," I said, but she just waved her hand.

"Don't worry about it, Sir. It's okay. Perhaps, it had been years since that happened. Look at the bright side. I've reached my dream. And like you said, I'm already living it," she said. "It's good to see that you did your best. That's how I succeeded. Working at my best even if times were so hard," I said, then I smiled at her and nodded. "I can see a better future ahead of you. More than your current self." She took another sip from her drink and smiled right after, then she looked right into my eyes.

"You really think so?" she asked, then I nodded without breaking the look. "Thank you so much. If that's what you see, then I'll prove to you that I can do it. But I need to ask you for a little favor, Sir," she said, and of course, as her superior, I'd have to listen and grant her that favor. "What is it?" I asked, then she said, "I know I'm new to the company and we're not really that close, but it would really help me a lot if you keep on mentoring me, and supporting me, just until I get used to it."

She was looking away from me at that point. I can tell that she herself wasafraid that I might reject the favor but as the leader of my company, I must do it. "Of course," I said with a nod that gave her reassurance. After that, I offered to drive her to her house. She said that she can go home by herself, but I insisted, so we both finished our drinks, then we headed straight back to the car. When we got in, I drove and brought her back home.

"Thank you, Sir," she said after I rolled down the window once she got out of the car. "No problem," I said, then we gave each other a smile before I rolled down the window and drove away. I saw her waving goodbye when I looked at the side-view mirror. I just hope she does well for my company. I'm really treating her well, and all I ask from her is for her to be a good general manager for the company.

Two days later, I was on the way home from another meeting. Sana told me that they were on the way to guest at a variety show. I told that I'll watch it once I get home, and now I'm just excited to do it. What would happen? Every time I find out that they were gonna be participating in a variety show, I keep on hearing "Cheeseu Kimbap" inside my head, and I just can't stop smiling whenever I think about it. I bet you smiled thinking about it too just now.

I was so excited to come home at that time, and soon I got inside the mansion's courtyard. I ran up the stairs to the mansion's door out of excitement. However, as soon as I got home, Mom and Hana came rushing towards me, the looks on their faces instilled anxiety within my heart. What happened? Why do I suddenly feel like something is very wrong? I hope everything is fine. But I know deep inside my heart that they are about to tell me something that I wouldn't like to hear.

"Y/n, it's about Sana."

And there my heart dropped.

"W-What happened?" I even stuttered just asking a simple question. They pulled me onto the couch and let me have a seat, then they sat down on the couch in front of the one that I'm on. They were fidgeting their fingers, making me even more nervous, so I hit my lap with my palm, making a loud clapping sound before saying, "Can you please tell me what happened?" making them flinch in shock.
