Monsters

The heat was becoming unbearable, small beads of sweat were forming at the top of his forehead.

He had to do it. He'll melt if he doesn't. But when he does the monsters will be right there, waiting to eat him.

He remembered his daddies were both in their room down the hall, if he was really fast he could run to them before the monsters could get him.

So San quickly pushed the thick covers off from over his head and scrambled to get off the bed. Only his foot got twisted in one of the sheets causing him to fall with a loud thud on the hardwood floor.

He couldn't stop the loud wails that escaped his mouth accompanied with hot tears. The monsters are going to eat him and he'll never see his daddies again.

The door swung open and a large figure started to walk towards him.

"No! Stop d-don't eat me! I-I just want m-my daddies!"

....

When Seonghwa woke up to aloud bang he wasn't sure what to think, he just ran to his son's room to make sure he was still there. His heart dropped when instead of seeing him sleeping in his bed, he was crying on the floor.

"Sannie, Baby it's daddy."

San gasped and looked up making grabby hands to his daddy, Seonghwa.

"Daddy!"

Seonghwa scooped his 4 year son old up and into his chest, letting San wrap his frail arms around his neck as he rubbed his back soothingly.

"Can you tell daddy what's wrong?"

San quickly wiped the snot running down his face with his sleeve.

"There w-was a big monster a-and it was waiting t-to, to eat me! So I hide under t-The covers but I w-wanted d-daddies so I try an' run to y-you but I hurt instead."

Seonghwa pieced the story but by bit as San told it pausing for little sniffs.

"Hwa? Are you in here- oh."

Hongjoong looked into his son's room and saw his husband holding his baby as the latter cried.

"Baby what's wrong?"

He walked up to his son and wiped his tear streaked face.

"He was scared and wanted to come to us but fell and got hurt."

Seonghwa answered for San, turning around and handing the boy to his husband.

"I'm sorry baby, do you want to sleep with daddies?"

San nodded, Hongjoong just kissed his salty, puffy cheeks and hugged him closer to his chest as they walked to his and Seonghwa's shared room.

When Hongjoong placed San in the edge of the bed Seonghwa kneeled down in front of their 4 year old son to inspect his slightly bruised knee.

"Hurts?"

"Uh huh." San pouted cutely.

"Kiss kiss?"

"Of course bubba."

Seonghwa leaned down and gave a few light kisses to the bruise.

Hongjoong came into the room and flopped into the bed, pulling San into his body, lightly tickling him to make the baby giggle.

"Cmon bud let's sleep yeah?"

San nuzzled closer into his chest as a response.

Seonghwa came back from turning the lights off and slide into the bed on the other side of the San, wrapping his arms around the both of them.

After a few minutes San was quietly sleeping between the both of them. Their body's encasing San's tiny one.

Hongjoong moved slightly to place a kiss to Seonghwa's forehead.

"I'm so glad you heard him fall, I'm not sure how long he'd be there if you didn't."

Seonghwa sighed running his hand through San's fluffy hair. 

"Yeah, well I almost peed myself."
