Bed time story

Seungmin leaps upwards, tilting his body back to flop onto the bed, rolling around before curling on his side.

His brown eyes sparkle as he looks up at Hyunjin who had take a seat on a small chair beside Seungmin's bed, a book propped open on his knee.

Hyunjin's lips tilt up into a small smile as he winks at his little, eliciting a small giggle from Seungmin.

Hyunjin's fingers run along the cover as he opens the book, only to find a small yellow sticky note placed crookedly on the first page.

His eyes scan over the orange crayon message as he smiles once more, a small chuckle being his only response.

Closing the book he brings his eyes up to meet the little's silently pleading ones.

"Pwease Hyunjinnie?"

Hyunjin gives in, Seungmin's pout and large doe eyes being the deciding factor as he exhales, running his hand through his hair.

He sets the book down on the small nightstand before crawling into bed beside Seungmin, pulling the boy up so his body can be cradled in his arms.

Seungmin smiles happily, wrapping his arms tightly around Hyunjin's waist as he nuzzles his face against his shoulder.

The older smiles widely, running his fingers gently through Seungmin's hair as he speaks.

"Once upon a time-"

His eyes scan the room for any thing of use, landing on a small purple bunny thrown randomly in the open closet.

"Once upon a time there was a purple rabbit... and he was the strongest knight in all the land."

He pokes Seungmin's stomach before continuing the story.

"And there was a mighty dragon who was keeping a prince locked up in a tallllll tower."

"Was the prince h-handsome?"

Seungmin questions, his cheeks burning a soft pink.

Hyunjin kisses Seungmin's cheek, gazing softly into his eyes.

"He was so handsome, the most handsomest boy anyone could lay eyes on, one look and I- I mean the purple bunny was in love."

Seungmin giggles quietly, resting his head on Hyunjin's chest.

"And the evil dragon wanted to keep the prince all to himself because out of all the gold, and gems and jewelry, the prince always shined brighter."

Hyunjin brings his hand up to gently run through the boy's hair, using his fingertips to detangle the small knots hidden in his hair from the day's play.

"But the prince wasn't happy in the dragon's castle and the bunny knight knew that so he set out to rescue the prince."

He tucks the blanket up around the boy who had readjusted his position in his arms, a small smile creeping onto Hyunjin's face.

"The knight traveled across the land until he finally reached the huuuuge castle. The stones were really dirty and it had a drawbridge. But luckily the drawbridge was down so the knight went into the castle. Once he got inside he found the dragon and slayed him and he found the prince and they lived-"

Small snores drift from Seungmin's parted lips as he sleeps peacefully, his arm draped loosely over Hyunjin's stomach.

Hyunjin's eyes crinkle gently as he smiles warmly down at the boy, placing a soft kiss on his head as he snuggles into the covers beside the boy.

"And they lived happily ever after."
