"Come on, please?"

The cat like boy pleads with pouted lips.

"Joshua, I really don't want to swim today."

Joshua sighs but refuses to give up.

He'll make Jeonghan come to the pool one way or another.

"But hannie, it's so nice out, and I've been wanting to swim for so long."

He whines extra long, trying his best to hit Jeonghan's weak point.

"Please, please, please, please~"

Joshua added little jumps to really sell it.

"Okay! Okay."

Jeonghan grabbed the smaller boy by the shoulders, keeping him from bouncing around any further.

"Yes! Thank you! I love you!"

Joshua jumped up again, tackling Jeonghan in a hug.

Joshua knew how to get want he wanted.

...

When the couple arrived at the pool they took note of the small family on the shallow end.

No kissing in front of small children.

"Look! You can swim all you want, but I'll be sitting here."

Jeonghan pointed to a shaded area next to the pool.

"You're not going to swim with me?"

Joshua pouted up at him.

"Nope!"

Jeonghan waved to him before putting all their things in his spot.

"Oh fine, whatever."

Joshua took his shirt off him a semi-seductive manner, only huffing and giving up when Jeonghan didn't spare him a glance.

Joshua spent the next few hours petulantly swimming around.

It's not as fun when your boyfriend doesn't swim with you.

The family left half an hour ago, leaving Joshua to wade through the water alone.

Joshua wanted his boyfriend's attention.

No matter how many times he splashed the older boy or whined for him to come in Jeonghan shut him down.

Apparently a little attention is too much to ask for.

So he won't ask.

Joshua swam towards the center of the deepest part of the water, curious of how deep it actually was.

He slowly went under and swam down till he felt the bottom with his fingers.

Joshua turned and began to swim back up when he felt it was beginning to hurt to hold his breath.

He tried to kick at the ground to propel him up to the top, but was only met with nothingness.

He opened his eyes in a panic, ignoring the sting of chlorine.

He looked up at the surface noticing how far away it actually was.

Joshua felt true panic rise inside of him, he could hear his heart beat pounding as of if was echoing of of the pool walls.

He desperately kicked his legs and outstretched his arms as far as they could go.

His chest was burning as his lunges were yearning for air.

The water broke when his fingers emerged and soon enough his head popped up.

"Han-"

Joshua tried to call out to his lover but the water flooded into his throat within a second.

His tired body failing him as he found himself completely under again.

He could barely hear Jeonghan yelling his name, or the splash when the older boy jumped in.

Strong arms encircled his waist and he was hauled up to the surface, quickly but gently pulled onto the concrete.

"Josh? Joshua, baby are you okay!"

Coughs racked through the younger boy's body, leaving him unable to answer.

Jeonghan's hands felt warm as they frantically brushed through joshua's hair and wiped the water off his face.

"I-I'm okay hannie."

Jeonghan surged forward and pulled the younger to his chest, holding him close.

"Never do that again, I was so scared Josh."  

"I-I'm sorry."

Jeonghan pulled them apart only to meet in the middle for a sweet kiss.

"No baby it's not your fault, I should have paid more attention to you. I-I just never want to lose you."

Joshua kissed him again, pulling away and hiding his face in the older boy's shoulder.

They stayed in that position, holding each other close until Joshua's shivering was noticeable.

"Cmon baby, you're cold, let's get you all warm."

Joshua let Jeonghan pull him up and guide him back to their bags.

Jeonghan wrapped him in a soft towel and pulled him close to his body, kissing his head and rubbing his arms to create warmth.

Joshua happily accepted the skin ship, preening at the attention.

He'll put his acting skills to use more often.
