Yanan hums quietly, clapping his hands together as a cloud of flour explodes upwards before raining down around him.

A wide smile stretches across his face as he giggles quietly, wiping his hands off on his small red apron.

He kneads the dough between his hands before using a rolling pin to roll out the dough.

He searches through a drawer for a cookie cutter, eventually finding a pumpkin shaped one.

Despite the fact that it's past Halloween and nearing Christmas he shrugs it off and presses the cutter into the dough anyway.

He pulls out a tray and places the unbaked cookies in neat little rows before sliding the tray into the oven and setting a timer.

He straightens up, his eyes darting towards the window as he sees a quick flash.

Scrunching his eyebrows together he lifts himself up onto the counter, pressing his nose against the window, straining his eyes to see through the inky darkness.

Seeing a spurt of movement he quickly ducks down, his heart racing in his chest and he clasps his hand over his apron.

After a few tense minutes he dares to peek over the counter at the window above the sink only to meet eyes with a shadowy figure, the darkness causing his features to be indistinguishable.

Frozen in place, all he can do is stare back as he watches the figure's lips curl up into a wide smile before winking, turning away and moving away from the window.

Yanan feels his heart stop as he hears a soft knock at the front door followed by silence and then another series of knocks.

"G-go away!"

He yells at the door, quickly grabbing a knife and pointing it at the door.

Silence.

A low, raspy voice raises up from the other side of the door as Yanan slides silently towards his bedroom.

"Let me in... I'm not here to hurt you..."

A soft laugh can be heard following the sentence.

Yanan flinches as a loud assault of intense banging shakes his front door in its frame, threatening to break inward.

He recognized that voice, the boy had been his friend...

Taking no time to sit and watch he takes off for his bedroom, quickly slamming the door shut and locking it, just barely able to hear the intruder.

"It's just your old friend Jun-"

He manages to dash into the closet, the unmistakeable deafening boom of his front door being kicked open.

He pulls the closet doors close on himself before clamping his hand over his mouth, hearing the heavy footsteps of the boy nearing his bedroom door.

He flinches as he watches his door handle jiggle from his position in the closet, tears streaming down his face as the door knob is easily broken off.

He watches, his hand barely muffling the whimpers and sobs as the figure walks slowly around the room, stopping to pick up things from off his dresser before sitting down on the bed.

The soft inhale of the springs being the only sound in the room.

"I've know you for a while now Yanan."

The boy sighs gently, unable to see the bed from his position Yanan is left to just listen, it's not like he had a choice anyway.

"After I met you, I fell hard. I would follow you after school, make sure you got home safe. I would go behind your back and make the guys who bully you regret their actions."

A quiet chuckle rumbles from the figure's throat as if he was remembering fond memories. 

"I always loved the frightened faces of the guys whenever I would break one of their bones or slice their skin"

Jun sighs again, before standing and walking into Yanan's view.

"All for you..."

He traces his finger gently along the splintered doorframe before stepping through and disappearing down the hall, humming a sweet melody.

Yanan shudders, hastily wiping at his face to clear the tears from his eyes, taking deep breathes to attempt to calm his racing heart.

Unaware of the fact that the humming had stopped he dares to peek between the slats of his closet door.

Only to meet eyes with the man, his lips tipping up into a sadistically sweet smile.

"I found you Yanan, now I'll never let you go..."
