Hermione and Harry stood together in the department of Mysteries. Watching as wizards and witches busied themselves, making everything spick and span. The room was entirely dark blue, covered with maps and clocks of all ages. Everything a Time Keeper could need, in their adventures.
"Are you sure she's coming?" Asked Harry.
"Yes, I'm sure Harry, at least I hope she is, we did ask her and she said she would come so" Hermione muttered, placing her nose in the air.
"And I keep my word" A voice said beside them. They gasped with fright, Horatia couldn't help but laugh, as she placed her pipe between her lips and struck a match.
"Do you really have to do that?" Hermione wondered, placing her hand on her heart.
"Yes" Horatia mused. "How's the children?"
"Albus is already walking, running more like, nine months old and running into my shins at full speed like a Ram" Harry shook his head.
"Mia's chatting away, I swear her and Draco have full blown arguments every night and every night the argument gets more eloquent" Hermione sighed.
"Have they met Rose yet?" Asked Horatia.
"Well with Pansy having her in Paris, it would've been difficult, but Ron and her are popping over for Christmas, they'll meet then" Answered Harry.
"I do love a Weasley Christmas" Smiled Horatia. "And of course , this" She gazed around the room. "He'll love it"
"He?, you know who it is then?" Asked Hermione excitedly.
"Oh yes, so will you when the time is right" She winked in return. "Keep up the good work Minister, I wonder if we can have a chat somewhere, Harry is that's okay?" she added.
"Of course, we can go up to my office" He said, they nodded to Hermione and went up stairs.
"Now, Harry what I'm going to tell you is quite confusing but soon you'll be glad I told you" She stated taking a seat opposite him.
"What can I do for you?" He said lacing his fingers together and putting them on the table.
"It's about Albus, when he's older" She smiled.
Harry's face shifted.
"He's not going anywhere, nor will be change. He'll still be the feisty, boyish, happy boy that he always going to be. But, like I was destined and you, he will have something to face"
"Can you tell me what?" He asked. "Growing yo not know who I was, truly and not knowing the full story always drove me mad, I'd love to able to tell Albus or James that what ever they're facing I'm there to help, to tell them all they need to know" He replied.
She nodded.
"Albus, in his third year, will be bit and will have Lycanthropy but it will never change him or affect him or his spirit" She stated. "But you mustn't try and fix him or separate him. Understand and love him. Make him feel as if he was fine, treat him no different"
Harry sat back in his chair, hand resting over his mouth.
"Why are you telling me this?" He asked, voice slightly hoarse.
"So Ginny and yourself can get a head start on a cure" She said. "It's been in the works for years and if anyone can help people cope and even cure this horrendous illness, it's the Potter's. Your father was always going on how he was going to cure it, somehow I believe he still will, through you" She smiled.
Harry nodded, taking off his glasses for a second and rubbing his eyes.
"But Harry, do not make the cure more of a focus than Albus, nor let him feel like a Guinea Pig. Make sure that when you begin, that it first helps the symptoms and then build to a full fledged cure" She pointed a finger at him.
"Other than that will he be okay?" He asked.
"He'll be happy" she smiled. "And he'll fall in love and life long friends just as we do and nothing gets in his way, he's a Potter boy, of course he fights on" She smirked. "I have met four generations of Potter and your Albus, he is something special"
Harry smiled, thinking about his tiny boy. A strange thought of him being no longer tiny but grow to be a young strong man, special as Horatia put him. Something to hold on to, through the troubling times to come;that Albus would be happy.
"But I'm not sure about you" She drew her eyes from him.
He raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"You just seem unhappy" She shrugged. "Or bored, whatever you prefer"
"I am content thank you very much" He shook his head, grabbing a glass and bottle of fire whiskey. She raised an eyebrow.
"How the mighty have fallen" She mused, ignoring his last statement. He deadpanned and leaned back in his chair. "Harry Potter, the boy that lived twice only to become the man who wasted away behind a desk" She added, reaching for the glass in his hand and took away from him.
