Dabi sat amongst the roots of a large oak tree. He slowly ran his fingers across a burn mark on the trees trunk. He remembered it, he remembered all of the burns that covered the great tree. They were from the night he gained his freedom.

Nine sat next to him. She was in a small gap where the trunk met the roots. The two had the free to protect it from rain and the roots to hide it from sight. She remembered sitting in there as a kid, watching Touya and Shouto messing about in the forest that surrounded them.

Behind them, just out of view, was a house. They both knew the house well, all the rooms and corridors they had roamed everyday.

The house of this number one hero: Endeavour.

Nine crawled out of her spot amongst the roots. "It's nearly time." She said. Dabi nodded and his himself behind a group of bushes. Nine streets to climb the tree, sitting on a branch high above the floor she watched a figure approach.

The figure had red and white hair and brown and blue eyes that searched the clearing.

"Todoroki!" Nine yelled, climbing down from her branch. She landed on the floor in front of him.

"So, he is here but he, uh, he's not sure what you'll think of him. He was quite badly scarred when he left and you might not recognise him but it is him, so don't freak out too much, ok?"

Todoroki looked suspicious but still, he followed her over to a clump of bushes.

A figure appeared from behind them. Dabi looked at the floor, hiding most of his face. Todoroki stopped and looked at him. She was right,he did look different but something about him... was still the same Touya he knew.

"Uh, hi, Shou. It's been a while." Touya said awkwardly.

Todoroki smiled a bit. "Hi, Tou."

Touya heard his old nickname and his face lit up with joy. He took Todoroki in his arms and couldn't help but smile. Todoroki was smiling as well. Nine watched the as well, laughing at the two of them as they started talking.

The three of them continued talking until Todoroki's phone buzzed. He looked down to see a text from Deku, asking if he was ok, he had been gone for a while. Todoroki texted back saying he was fine, adding a photo for proof, making sure that neither Touya or Nine were visible in the background.

Deku texted back saying that the others were asking were he was. He had told them that he was talking with Aizawa about some homework but everyone was starting to question it.

Todoroki sighed and, giving the two villains a final hug, he walked back through the woods, smiling to himself as he sent a text to them to meet again same time same place the next day. Nine replies with a smiley face and a picture of the sunset she took from the top of the oak tree. Todoroki smiled again.

Villains weren't that bad.
