Trigger warning
Domestic violence
Bakugou paced back and forth across the bedroom. He hadn't slept at all and it earnestly 4am. Nine's words were still ringing in his head. He glanced over at Kirishima, still sound asleep. He couldn't act just based on a villain's word. This was Kirishima's sister.
Small explosions went off in his palms as he continued his pacing back and forth across the floor. He wanted to punch something. How could be be so stupid, letting a villain get under his skin like that? How could be let w villain affect him like that, without even trying?
"Ugh!" He groaned, sliding down to sit at the end of the bed, his mind still swinging back and forth between his options. He loved Kiri, and didn't want to do anything to make him and it to upset him but he needed to make sure that any leak there was got dealt with.
But all he had to go off of was that villain's claim. A villain who had no reason to tell him the truth. If the villain told him then it must be a lie, unless they knew he would be so torn about it inquiry case they could have told him the truth just to fuck with him. But they could do g hat easily by telling a lie. But a lie would be easy to realise.
He banged his head on the end of the bed. Why was he so stupid, letting this happen to him?
"Katsuki? What's up, bro?" Kiri asked, peering over the edge of the bed. Bakugou glared up at him. "None of your fucking business, Shitty hair!" He stood up quickly, pushing Kirishima away from him and stormed out of the room.
He walked into the kitchen and yelled, throwing a chair across the room. It hit the wall with a satisfying snap. He grabbed another, throwing it. It hit the window and the window shattered.
At some point Kirishima must have come running in and tried to stop him. When Bakugou's rate calmed, the kitchen was a tip. Pieces of broken chairs covered the floor. The windows had solved broken and the table was lying upside down, a massive hole in the middle.
The toaster and microwave had both been thrown to the floor and, from the looks of it, been jumped on until they looked like metallic pancakes. Something smelled like it was burning, probably Bakugou's clothes, that were singed and burnt all over.
In the middle of this chaos was Kirishima, his hand up against his forehead where there was a large cut, running from the corner of his eye to the top of his head.
The rent rate Bakugou felt dissipated in an instant as he ran over to Kirishima. He helped his boyfriend up, holding a cloth to his head. The pair stumbled outside and to the car, driving to the nearest hospital.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry." Bakugou repeated as they drove, glancing back at Kiri every few seconds. Kirk sat in silence, staring at his hands.
Maybe Bakugou hadn't changed at all, even though it looked like her been getting better, maybe he hadn't. Her been working so hard, to make him into a better person, but it hasn't worked. Was it even worth trying anymore?
They reached the hospital and the two walked inside. They were met by a nurse who lead them through to a room. The doctor looked at the cut on Kiri s head and said they it would need stitched and that he would try his best, but it was likely that it would leave a scar. He may also have a small confusion but that wouldn't last long.
Kirishima was given stitches and the doctor told him to try and avoid doing anything too stressful and to get some rest. He nodded silently and the couple drove home in silence.
The pulled up outside their house and made their way inside. Kirishima was still staring at the floor and wouldn't meet Bakugou's eyes. "I think I'll sleep on the couch tonight." He said quietly, leaving the room to grab a blanket.
Bakugou watched as Kiri lay down, his eyes starting to water. He nodded slowly and walked upstairs, ignoring the mess in the kitchen. Kirk closed his eyes and started to drift off.
Was Bakugou even worth it?
