"When I was young, about five years old, my parents were quite rich. They owned a company and had been quite successful. Because of this, we lived in a large house, in the country side.
I loved living there. Everyday, I would go into the woods and run around and play. Sometimes, children from nearby villages would come and play with me and see run around all day.
One day, I was playing alone and I encountered two villains. These villains saw me, a small, five year old girl all alone, and decided that I would be an easy target.
I was kidnapped.
The two villains took me to a warehouse where other villains were waiting. They had made a plan for me, a plan of what I would do for them, of his I would help them. I was scared but I still refused to do what the asked.
The villains didn't care. They knew that they needed to have power over me. Some sort of leverage to use to control me like their puppet. They felt no regret as they tortured me.
For the next month, I spent all day tied to a chair, unable to move or even speak. They would burn me and hit me and cut me until I passed out from the pain. As soon as I woke up, it would begin again.
They didn't give me any food and would only give me water once each day and it was never enough. If I asked for more, they would hold my head underwater but lift me up before I drowned then do it again.
After a month of this, I was willing to do anything they asked.
They have me food and water and they wouldn't hurt me anymore but I was treated more like a tool than a young child. I was so afraid of being sent back to that early house and been starved and beaten all day that even that seemed like a kindness.
They started to train me. They trained me how to fight and now to use my quirk in the most deadly way possible. They taught me to hide and to disguise myself and to move around the city, unseen.
They trained me to kill.
And I was all too willing to learn. I learned quickly and after half a year I was fully trained. I became an assassin. They had me kill anyone who they wanted me to and anyone who paid enough could have anyone they wanted killed as well.
By the time I was seven, I was one of the most wanted assassins in all of Japan. No-one had a clue who I could be and no-one knew where to find me. I was invisible to everything and everyone and seemed to disappear like smoke. That's where I got my nickname from...
Vapour.
When I was eight, I was given a mission I could not complete. It wasn't too hard or too dangerous, but the target was someone I couldn't kill no matter what.
My Dad.
I said I wouldn't do it but they wouldn't take no for an answer. They told me I had to do it and if I didn't they would send me back to the warehouse. Still, I refused.
One of them took out some handcuffs and... I panicked. I couldn't go there again. I couldn't go through that again. I... I...
I lost control of my quirk."
