As they were running down empty corridors, Dabi setting fire to the walls as they passed, Nine noticed something in the corner of her eye.
Before she could react, the pair had run into a cloud of pink mist. Dabi passed out but Nine recognised the most and held her breath, carrying Dabi out of the mist.
She looked back at the mist, turning in her thermal camera and drawing her guns but the smoke and circles did made it impossible to see where Midnight was. Nine shot blindly into the mist and smoke, heating her bullets hit the walls.
She pulled the trigger again but they didn't shoot. She started to reload when Midnight came running, most flowing from her body.
Everything went into slow motion. No time to grab Dabi and run, no time to reload her guns, hand-to-hand combat would just result in her breathing in the mist as well. If she ran, the hero's would get Dabi and she would lose him.
There was nothing she could do.
Midnight suddenly slowed down. "Todoroki, run!" She yelled to someone behind Nine. Nine smiled widely. "Shou!" She yelled over her shoulder, keeping her eyes fixed on Midnight.
Midnight's eye opened side in shock as she was encased in ice. Todoroki walked up to her side and smiled at her. "Todoroki! What is this? Let me go!" She yelled, too shocked to use her quirk.
"Shou, come here. Can you raise Dabi's body temperature a bit? It'll cause her quirk to wear off faster." Todoroki knelt down by Dabi, placing his left hand in Dabi's chest.
"I guess this means I've been found out, right? So we can do the deal now."
Nine nodded as Dabi's eyes opened. "They should be close, if Twice managed to keep them in these same place. Cover Midnight's mouth as well."
Ice covered Midnight's mouth as she watched the villains stand up and walk away, Todoroki giving her a sadistic smile as he left.
He had been caught. That means that he now gets to kill Bakugou.
