Deku felt warmth beneath his hand. He opened his eyes slightly to see Todoroki sat beside him watching a TV screen.

The screen showed UA, in the middle of the night. There were sirens blaring and red and blue lights flashing. They watched as a stretcher was carried into an ambulance. Deku barely recognised Bakugou as he was carried away, followed by a group of his friends, shaking and sobbing, eyes red and puffy.

"This is the scene from UA last night after a villain attack." The reporter read out "During the attack, Katsuki Bakugou was severely injured. He is currently in hospital but his chances of survival seem to be low. During the attack, two other students went missing. Izuku Midoriya and Shouto Todoroki."

"There has been speculation that Shouto Todoroki may have been involved in the attack as Katsuki Bakugou was said to have severe hypothermia as well as severe burning. This matches with Shouto Todoroki's quirk which allowed him to produce fire and ice. UA has not made a comment regarding the attack but insists that anyone with information on the boys location should come forward."

Todoroki turned the screen off and looked down at Deku. Deku sat up slowly.

The night before had been a blur. He remembered seeing villains. He was fighting them with Bakugou then Todoroki arrived and then...

Deku stopped. Then Todoroki has frozen Bakugou? And the look on his face, it was so... wrong. He had to be wrong, he assured himself. Todoroki wouldn't help villains or hurt anyone like that. He heard what they said. Bakugou was in serious condition. Todoroki wouldn't do that.

But...

Todoroki smiled slightly. "You're trying to remember." He said, his voice emotionless "Your memory is fine, don't worry. What you remember is correct. Welcome to my home."

Todoroki indicated to the room around them. It was empty apart from the bed, a small table in the corner and the TV. The walls were metal and the light came from a single light bike in the middle of the room and from a fire that curled around Todoroki's left hand.

On the table in the corner was a plate of food, it looked like some kind of pasta. Deku walked over to it and eyed it suspiciously before reluctantly eating it. It was better than he expected.

Todoroki walked up behind him and placed a hand on Deku's shoulder. Deku turned around and looked into his eyes. Something looked different. Like there was nothing hidden anymore. He looked complete. That was what scared Deku the most.

Here made him seem complete.

"What? Why?" Deku said in confusion, Todoroki's words finally setting in. Todoroki smiled sinisterly. "Your a villain? No. You're a hero. A good person."

Todoroki's smile widened. "Thank you, for believing in me, even after what you saw. But you're wrong. I'm not a good person. A good person doesn't hospitalised their classmates, even if they don't get along. A good person doesn't kill their classmates."

Deku froze. Todoroki smiled wider and Deku backed into the table. His smile was tinged with evil and Deku felt like they were covered in phantom blood. What had happened?

"Y-you y-you m-mean Tsu. Y-you killed Tsu. Why?" Deku went pale. This couldn't be real. It had to be a nightmare or something! This could never be real.

"She was a traitor. She stopped giving information to us. She was trying to protected own back." Todoroki said, his voice was emotionless again. It felt like he was trying to hold his emotion back. Like it he let them out they would burst.

The door opened, somewhere in the shadows at the edge of the room.

Todoroki smiled. "Izuku." He said, smiling warmly, like he had when he talked about Touya that day. It felt like years ago . Like a happy memory that had started to fade. "This is Touya. You remember me telling you about him?"

Deku nodded, walking closer to see through the shadows. Touya walked closer until his face was visible.

"Nice to meet you, Izuku Midoriya. Shou's told me a lot about you."
