Momo's eyes opened and she looked around the room and was in. The room had white walls and worn down blue carpet. It was well out and generally seemed quite nice, even if it did need a fresh coat of paint. It could have been a room in any normal house.

Only it was almost entirely empty.

The only furniture in the room was the wooden chair Momo was sat on. She looked around in confusion and tried to stand up. But her hands were tied. She turned to look at her hands, they were tied together with a length of rope.

She used her quirk to produce a blade that cut through the role and stood up, still feeling the effect of whatever drug put her to sleep. Masumi. Had he been the one to bring her here? Maybe he was forced or maybe it wasn't him at all. Riding one of those villains that were released have a shape shifting quirk?

The door opened and two people entered. Momo looked up at both of them, trying to keep her face expressionless. She fought back years as Todoroki and Masumi placed chairs down opposite hers.

She slowly say down again, looking at her two friends. Masumi was the first to speak.

"I'm sorry, Momo." He said simply. His expression seemed just like normal. He looked like he would start laughing at a seconds notice but his eyes didn't glitter the same way. They looked firmer, tougher.

She looked over at Todoroki. She hadn't seen him at all since the night he left UA. She had thought up so many questions she would ask him, so much she would say to him but it all vanished now. Her mind was blank.

He looked the same as he had always done, emotionless and cold. She wanted to see him smile again. She had only seen it once or twice before but she needed to see it to know it was him. She thought she was over this, that it had settle in but she realised now that part of her didn't believe it, part of her still thought he would be the same.

That this Todoroki couldn't be the Todoroki she had called a friend back at UA.

Masumi watched her. Nine had insisted that she didn't know how to turn her villain, scolding Nitro for bringing her in in the first place. After a while she had given in, telling them to act like their old selves as much as possible, to try and make her feel more at home with them.

It probably wouldn't work and it was just a first step anyway. Nine don't have a clue what they would do it it succeeded. She hadn't seen Momo in a long time. Her weaknesses and insecurities had probably changed and without anything to go off, she couldn't do anything other than hope.

This had really screwed up her plans. The best she could hope for was that Momo might join them and that would be better in the end but that was unlikely. The most likely thing was that Momo would continue being a hero like before.

But even if it ended up the same as it started, Nitro had just ruined one of the best weapons they had against her.

Nine sat back and watched as the two villains talked to their hero friend, getting nowhere.
