Chapter 4 - A curious george

I open my eyes at the feeling of Alex standing up "Will and Mia are here" he says softly as he walks off. I yawn slightly rubbing my eyes "I didn't even hear the door" I say looking at George who was clearing up the controllers and discs "I'm pretty sure you fell asleep" he says before turning to look at me "Are you, alright man?" I just shrug.

I trust George a lot he's like my big brother and I wanted nothing more at that moment than to tell him what was bothering me. but I cant it wouldn't be fair so instead, I lie once again

"Yeah, just that time of the month," I say rolling my eyes at myself more than anything that was possibly the worst excuse I could have used. "Yeah right. you wouldn't even be up if that was true your cramps are always too bad to even talk" he says giving me a small smile "I'm here for you. you can talk to me"

I sigh and open my mouth to try and tell him what was going on but I was saved by the bell as I hear Alex and Will enter the room "Wahheeyyy!" Will says walking over to George hugging him as Alex comes over to sit next to me again. George hug's will back and mouths "we'll talk later" to me and I just nod slightly sighing leaning my head on Alex again who comfortingly put his arm around me. and I couldn't help but notice as I watch Will that Mia wasn't here

we all left the apartment and started walking down the hallway on our way to McDonald's Alex and George walked ahead as they were arguing over something or another I swear they act like a married couple. But this, unfortunately, meant I was left alone with Will and I could feel my Anxiety picking up again.

And I guess Will noticed this as he put his arm around my shoulder pulling me into a side hug smiling down at me "What's up Short stuff?" he says with a slight smile, I roll my eyes at him playfully "I'm not actually that short, you're just ridiculously tall." I say sticking my tongue out at him "aight whatever you say, and don't ignore my question" he says nudging me.

"I'm fine honest, just tired," I say smiling the best fake smile I could manage which made Will give me a look of disbelief "Yeahhh sure, sure," he says taking my arm dragging me with him to catch up with Alex and George.

WILL'S POV

We walked down the high street on our way to lunch (Y/N) caught up with Alex and they both walked ahead together holding hands as they swung their arms. for some reason I found myself biting my cheeks with a small pit of jealousy in my stomach a feeling I had been ignoring a lot lately.

"So mate, wheres mia," George says as he slows down to walk by my side I sigh and shrug because, in all honesty, I have no idea why Mia didn't come she changed her mind last minute "Not a clue mate, probably just too hungover" He just dismissively shrugged at me and changed the conversation.

"Do you know what's up with (Y/N)" he said crossing his arms. what? since when was there something wrong with her? has her anxiety started getting bad again? was it her dad?.. was it, Alex? "I've got no idea. what makes you think there's something wrong anyway?" I say looking at George.

"She said something to me before you arrived, forget it like," he says then once again shrugs dismissing my comment and walks away to join up with Alex and (Y/N).

YOUR POV

We arrive at McDonald's opening the door the smell of childhood and greasy food hits my nose and I feel calmer again. we all find a table to sit at while Will And Alex take everyone's orders "The normal for everyone then?" Will say's as he stands up followed by Alex, "Seems like it" he says heading towards the counter to order followed by Will.

As I'm lost in thought watching both Will and Alex walk away I jump at the feeling of Georges' hand touching my shoulder gently "Please tell me what's up" I sigh and turn to look at George, "its honestly nothing, I've just been feeling down lately. ill be fine" he shoots me a worried look "tell me if you ever start getting overwhelmed again I don't want a-"

not wanting him to finish his sentence reminding me of the past I cut him off before he can finish "Neither do i. just leave it for now? please?" I say sighing running my hand against the smooth table. George just sighs nodding softly removing his hand from my arm.

Alex and Will return with the food and we all tuck in enjoying our meal together. the conversation stays casual with a joke said by someone here and there which made all of us laugh until we were in tears.

overall it was a great lunch, and I did feel a lot better afterward
