Chapter 52 - The longest elevator ride ever.

I swallowed hard and fast as I felt my stomach climb up into my throat. 
This situation truly could not be any worse than it is right now, I and Alex are stuck in an elevator for god know how long! alone! in the fucking dark!

Someone, please kill me now. 

I needed to respond to his question because just standing here awkwardly in the dark would only make matters 100% worse, and neither of us needed my anxious, awkward ass, making things worse. 
"Me and uh Will are here to collect some things," I say while clearing my throat crossing my arms against my chest in a security type of way.

"Eh? Why" Alex says as he turns on his torchlight shining it at me catching the diamond on my ring making it shine and of course I panic and hide my hand behind my back.
Obviously I didn't want to hide the fact Will and I were engaged from anyone but, this wasn't how I wanted anyone to find out especially Alex. I didn't know how he was going to react and I wanted Will there with me 

"Uh- Because we are staying away right now and... we are running out of things-" I said rather panickily which probably made things seem more suspicious than they needed to be... and the next set of scenarios probably wouldn't have happened if I had just stayed calm.

"What's wrong with your hand?" Alex said placing his phone down on the floor so the light would continue to shine on the both of us while crossing his arms biting his cheeks. 
"Nothing, Why," I replied trying to save myself

"Yeah, Not buying that."
"There's honestly nothing-!"
"Just fucking show me Y/N," Alex said rather aggressively in a way that made my stomach turn.
I knew there was now no hiding it so I might as well get it over with

I sighed extending my hand in front of my showing Alex the ring on my finger briefly pulling my hand away quickly as he went to touch it putting it in the pocket of my jacket. 
"I and Will are uh-"
"Engaged!?" 
"Yeah."

I saw Alex's expression become sour within seconds and I felt a mix of nerves and anxiety in the pit of my stomach as I was unsure of what he was about to do next... I was scared, really scared. 

And apparently I had every right to be 
He turned around and punched the side of the elevator wall making me wince
"Why fucking him!?" he said clenching his fists one of them bleeding slightly from where he hit the wall as he turned back around to face me
"I- He- We-..."

I didn't know how to answer him, I was frozen and scared. I couldnt move nor talk 

"Well!? Fucking answer me!" 
"..."

"NOW! Y/N NOW!"
"I cant Alex I don't know how to-!" 

And then Alex threw a punch heading right for me, and everything went black, blacker than it already was.
