Chapter 48 - This, This is home.

WILLS POV:

"Hey ma," I say letting go from the hug Y/N and I was greeted with.

"Come in! Come in" she says eagerly stepping aside allowing us to enter the warm home "Thanks mum," Y/N says with a beaming smile. She really did seem genuinely happy to be back here and I didn't blame her, I was just as happy.

"So! what brings you both here on this lovely suprise?" Mum says as we walk into the living room as Darcey bounds towards me practically jumping into my arms "Darcey! Hey girl! hows you!" I say giving her a hug and a stroke as Y/N joins in on the fuss gaining a massive lick on her face from a very excited Darcey.
"We uh, need a place to stay for a while... and we were wondering if we could stay here" I finally say standing up rubbing my neck looking rather sheepish.

"Of course you can both stay. You're both welcome here anytime... but whats the matter?" She says sitting down on the couch as Darcey leaves Y/N's side, jumping to sit next to my Ma.

And as I go to explain everything to her to my surprise Y/N asks if she can explain everything herself and so I let her.
I sit back and listen to her explain everything.
I listen in awe at her strength and confidence, especially when she fights back the occasional tear or two.

But what shocked me the most was, she left out the fact that I had pretended to be someone else... That I had deceived her.
And it was at that moment I knew, I knew that she had fully forgiven me.

And we could finally move on to the next chapter of our life together.

YOUR POV:

I finished telling Ma everything, I even managed to fight back the tears, to my own surprise.
She just hugged me and smiled at both of us and said "I'll go and get the spare room ready. Then you can both help make tea" before leaving the room followed by Darcey leaving Will and me alone.

"You're so brave you know," Will says with almost a proud chuckle as he wraps his arms around me kissing my neck in an affectionate matter "I'm really not, but thank you."
"How come you didn't mention... you know..."

If I'm honest, I wasn't sure why I didn't mention it. It just didn't feel right to.
"I didn't see the need to, I mean... its all in the past I'm only worried about our future," I say as I feel my cheeks getting warm after I finish my sentence realizing how cheesy it sounded out loud.
"Ugh don't get all sappy on me now," Will says scoffing playfully as he squeezes his arms around me nuzzling his head into my neck.

So we just stood there for a while in each other's company, just enjoying the moment.
That was until Shaz came in clearing her throat in a playful manner as she came into the room asking us to help make dinner. making both Will and me jump probably making ourselves look more suspicious than needed.

And so we helped make dinner and after sat and ate the best meal in a long time all together and caught up on life and funny stories and memories we had all missed talking about.

And as I spooned the last piece of pudding into my mouth I realized that, This, this was my home. And I didn't want to leave anytime soon.
