"I still can't believe you both buy that white chocolate shit," George says scrunching his nose up while I took a sip of my drink as we walk back down the street on our way back to the apartment blocks.

"Its better than straight-up black coffee," Alex says in response scrunching his face up at George mockingly making me laugh slightly. "She makes noise!" Alex says putting his arm around my shoulders squeezing me gently "Yeah, yeah I do." I say with a slight, well pathetic chuckle.

...

The walk back from the coffee shop was somewhat relaxing, hand in hand with Alex. George still being slightly different from his normal self and if I am totally honest he was still making me feel uncomfortable and I did not like it.

GEORGES POV:

we had all been sat in the apartment for a couple of hours since arriving back from Starbucks and I'm pretty sure all I did was sit and watch the clock trying to make time go faster. But finally, it was time to go out and see Mia and it was finally time to sort things out.

"I'll be back soon," I say as I walk out of the door hearing Y/N and Alex muttering something along the lines of Where is he off to? or What's wrong with him lately? And bloody hell are they in for a shock when they find out the truth.

I send mia a text as I start walking down the hall telling her to leave in 10 minutes and no sooner to avoid anyone seeing us together, I swear living in the same apartment at times was the worst thing ever. It made things more complicated then needed.

I put my hood up as I leave the apartment walking down the street the cold breeze trying to pull my hood back and under my closed jacket. the smell of a food truck near under my nose. and the feeling of an anxious yet exciting feeling at the bottom of my stomach.

Arriving at the local travel lodge I walk inside dropping my hood as I go over to the receptionist "A double room key please." The lady at the desk stop typing whatever she was working on and looked up at me a rolled her eyes slightly "You cannot book a double room for a singular person sir." and as if the timing was more than perfect Mia arrived by my side entwining her hand in mine, smiling at the receptionist. "It's not just for one though is"

Mia and I get our room key, pay for the room and head down the creepy looking hall of the cheap travel lodge.

"Can I ask you something?" Mia says as I slide the card key over the lock letting us into the small but cosy room "of course anything". The lights dim in the room as the lights warm-up

"Why are we even hiding? why don't we just let Will have Her?  So we can be together."

"Because then Alex would be hurt, And I won't let that happen. Plus things will work out don't you worry"

"When George? when will things work out."

"Soon, I promise I've got a plan ok?"

"Care to share this plan with me?" Mia says sitting down patting the space of the bed next to her

"In a couple of days. I'll turn up acting upset or whatever bullshit and ill expose will of his secret. You'll be furious understandably and break up with him there and then."

"What is this... secret?"

"I can't say just yet. Trust me ok?"

"Ok, Now sit and snuggle with me for a while. I have to leave at 8"

YOUR POV:

I was sat in bed scrolling on my phone waiting for Alex. We started sharing a room again recently as I keep on waking up mid nightmare and start having anxiety and panic attacks most nights so Alex insisted we shared a bed meaning he could keep an eye on me.

The door opens slowly as Alex walks in with a glass of wine each and a packet of crisps held between his lips. Walking over to me he passes me a glass and opens his mouth dropping the packet of crisps into my lap, before getting into bed himself. "What's all this?" I say with a smile as I turn my phone onto silent putting it in the drawer beside me.

"I thought we could just sit and get nicely tipsy while eating your favourite crisps," Alex says kissing my temple gently

"That sounds... Perfect Alex, Genuinely perfect"

And so that's what we did. We sat and spoke for hours, eating crisps, and getting tipsy. And for the first time in a while, I didn't feel the need to check my phone in the case of some miracle Will decided to message me.

But little did I know that inside of that draw beside me, my phone had 2 missed calls from Will and 20 messages.

And when I read them, they would surely ruin my anxiety, panic free night.
