Honey eyes awoken from a slumber, restless
Cold rainy breeze, dark cotton candy skies
He reaches out, pink fingertips
A hand trying to grasp someone's heart
Distance separates, leaving empty air in between
The two hearts, unreachable
Empty lovely whispers floating in the air between
To keep him soothed, to keep his heart beating
Little somethings of love and kindness, a smiling face
Grip onto the covers, bare and empty
A cushion not fit for one individual, he needs space to fill it
Twisting the fabric, rejecting its embrace
Honey eyes raining, a brain of thunderclouds
He lets go of the fabric
Only to reach out one final time
Able to reach the heart so far away, he holds onto it
Never letting it go
