The flowers surrounding my body, so numb
Their scent absorbs me, I burn in the sun
As I lay on my back and I let myself go
Into the earth, a fragrant river will flow
As endearing as this planet may be
I will never feel comfortably free

So perhaps sinking down would be worth it
To become another thing that the worms bit
That feels like my life's true purpose
To sit in the flowers, die in bliss
Don't you worry, the medication is healing
But a life in the earth just seems more appealing

To a boy who frowns himself in pitiful sorrow
Who wishes he simply won't wake up tomorrow
So I will go and lay in the fields of flowers
A wonderful place where I will stay for hours
Hoping the sunlight will drain my blood
And let my body soak into the mud

A field of painless eternal sleep
With a body and mind; numb and weak

I will reside here until the end of my days
Praying that the flowers take my body away
