Chapter 37: Mad Odd Squad

Otis and Oona had already arrived at the hospital with Kate. Some taxis took Ohany (who was carrying the Oona device that made things disappear and appear), Oliver, Olympia, Selena, and the other members of the Mad Squad and Odd Squad to the hospital.

It was the same hospital Otis was a few days ago. The clerk said that only four visitors were allowed at a time, and as they were generally around 26 people, it was not possible for everyone to enter. The first time was Olympia, Oliver, Ohany and Selena, of course.
They asked the clerk the room Kate was in, and she said "152". They rushed toward this room, desperate. Entering there, they saw Kate lying on a stretcher, her eyes closed. Beside him were Otis and Oona, sitting in chairs, talking.

– There's nothing wrong, – Otis said to Oona. – I know how that is.

– You do? – Oona asked, curious and relieved.

– Well, not exactly the same, but I already liked...

– Otis? Oona? – Olympia interrupted, excited to see them both.

– Olympia! – Oona shouted sharply, anxiously.

– Hey, good that you've arrived! – Otis stood up and hugged Olympia and Oliver.

– Otis, we can not delay. – She narrowed her smile. – Miss O and Dave are just fainted, not dead.

– But what about Kate, is she okay? – Ohany asked.

– I think she'll be fine, the bullet has already been removed. – Oona said, putting her hands in the pockets of her lab coat, for they were shaking.

Selena went to Ohany's side.

– We have to go back to the squad, I suppose the fainting effect can end at any moment, – she said.

– Yeah, Sel – And then she turned her face to Oona, showing the device. – We found this, it was yours, right?

– Yes! – She exclaimed happily.

– I think we can bring the Odd Squad back.

– And there's more, Ohany, I set it up a few months ago, before it all happens... now you can make some changes on the thing that disappeared and will appear again.

– Ohany, we have to go! – Selena shouted. – Bye Oona, bye Otis. – She walked over to Oliver and pulled him by the arm.

The other members of Mad Squad and Odd Squad, in the reception room, also were muttering that they should come back. Even though most of the members of the Mad Squad were at least one year older than the members of Odd Squad, they seemed to understand each other. Probably because the two squads were betrayed by the same person.

They rushed to the taxis, with the exception of Oona and Otis, who remained in the hospital. In a few minutes, they arrived in the dark Mad Squad again. And there they were, Miss O and Dave on the floor, fortunately. For preservation, George picked up the cloth and passed Miss O and Dave's face again, so they would not wake up soon. What's in that cloth?  Oliver and Selena questioned themselves.

The sad thing is that they could not carry bodies of two people unconscious, fainting, inside a taxi without any explanation. So what would they do?

– Selena, I think we're going to have to take their bodies, hidden,to the Odd Squad, somehow. – Oliver commented – It will be very complicated, but it is the only way.

Ohany approached them confidently.

– Or Miss O made more things disappear that might be useful. – Ohany looked at the screen of the device. On the screen, she could see everything that disappeared, and somehow, was inside that device. One of the things was a big yellow car, a Renault Duster Joy. Why would Miss O have made a mean of transport disappear? Maybe when she went to make the headquarters of the squad disappear, she ended up making a car that was next disappear too – I think I know what we're going to do.
