Dream Sequence
I find myself in a in a white void with an orange tint to it, the ground looked like water and next to me was arch gateway. It was like that dream I had when I had fought the white tiger and when I met Luna for the second time. I looked around then I saw a little girl under the arch I looked closely at the girl then I began to recognize her it my sister Mina but when she was younger "you did it, you won but was it worth it?" the little Mina asked "yes it was I get to live longer to come back to you" I answered "but what did it cost?" the little Mina asked "I killed a man" I answered "can you forgive me?" I asked "maybe, but now you have to wake up" the little Mina said she then came up to me I got down on one knee she put her hand on my chest "I'm sorry for what may come next" the little Mina said then she pushed me and everything went dark.
Dream Sequence Over
I awoke in a sweat from the dream I had just had I looked around to find myself in room on a bed with Luna, Nitra and Kina laying on me then I remembered what happened after the battle with the pope I had snapped his and him out of existence there we had finally met queen Mirellia in person we let the Pope's followers live as they were only doing what the pope wanted then I remembered fainting after unequipping the gauntlet. I looked at the girls sleeping on me I had for once felt at true peace since I came to this world I scratched Luna's head causing her to shake her leg like a dog, Nitra was wrapped around my arm and I saw Kina stretch like a real cat would. I began to notice I was covered in bandages all over me I guess my phoenix healing couldn't heal the wounds caused by the gauntlet. I heard the door open and saw the queen come in "I see you've courted one of my shadows" the queen said "yeah I don't know how I did that" I said "well she did tell me the first time you two met you choked her out" the queen said I rubbed the back of my head "yeah that happened" I said "I will warn you she's into SnM she's a bit of a sadist when she battles" the queen said I gulped at that. The queen gave a sincere look "you have know idea how greatfull I am for you finding the power of infinity and helping the shield hero overcome his demons" the queen said "well you should thank Raphtalia and Filo for that" I said "I have some questions" I said "ask away you've done more than enough for this kingdom even though you were hated by it" the queen said "first how long have I been asleep?" I asked "you've been asleep for three days" the queen answered "okay, next why were we all summoned in one place when the waves are everywhere" I asked "Naofumi asked that too I will tell you the whole truth, when the second wave of catastrophe hit I was in other countries discussing how fight them we came to the agreement that five Cardinal heroes were needed so one hero a country, I entrusted one of my friends the lord of Saeatto to watch over my kingdom while I was away but he was tragically killed during one of the waves, but Aultcray had summoned all five heroes at once which angered all of the nations so I had to travel and try to quell their anger" the queen answered "alright last question why does the king hate Naofumi and I?" I asked "he his believer in church of the three heroes and I believe the pope used king's hatred of you to manipulate him and Malty into his plan" the queen answered. I took it all in I sighed "so there's other kingdoms out there ones that will except me, then I might go and find hell even Nitra's father's kingdom will take me" I said "wait don't go my kingdom needs you, I will give you the same offer that I gave Naofumi 500 gold coins and the full support of the kingdom" the queen pled "alright I'll stay" I said "will you come to the castle tomorrow to be there for the punishment of my husband and daughter?" the queen asked "I guess I will there's something I want" I said the queen smiled and left the girls began to stir so I went back to bed thinking about tomorrow.
Time Skip
The next day the girls and I stood in the throne room with Naofumi and his party along with the other three heroes. The whole kingdom was watching through a display. Soon Malty and the king were brought in handcuffed it felt good seeing them like that. Quickly Aultcray was frozen in place by the queen's ice magic "you are being brainwashed by the shield and staff heroes my dear" the king pled but no one listened. A temporary slave crest was placed onto Malty so she wouldn't lie as she was a pathological liar. The charges were brought up the first one was the conspiracy together with the church's pope to kill the Cardinal Heroes and to overthrow the government to which she denied it all so the slave crest activated causing her pain the next charge came was how she tried to murder her sister Melty and have Naofumi framed for it also setting the forest fire to smoke them out before she said anything Ren and Itsuki confirmed it. Motoyasu was shocked as he saw Malty being tortured as she lied every time I could see the surprise in the king's face when he found out Malty tried to murder her sister he then began to claim he summoned us to save the kingdom but Naofumi assaulted Malty. At this moment the truth came out when asked if Naofumi actually assaulted her and when she said yes and then she was shocked by the slave crest I could see the joy in Naofumi's face as he and been finally cleared of all his crimes and everyone knew the truth. Now I had a question it had been in the back of my mind but I never got the chance to think about it because I was busy saving everyone "I want to know somethings" I said "you may ask" the queen said "first Malty, did you write me that letter sending me to the the Golden Forest even though the elves could of killed me and Luna?" I asked Malty had a guilty look on her face "I have no idea" she said then she was shocked by the slave crest "don't lie to me" I said "I wouldn't do such a thing" she said as she was shocked again "fine I did it I wrote you that letter in hopes that the elves would kill you and your mutt" Malty finally said "next king Aultcray, what were you going to have that party do to me if I had just let them join me?" I asked the king he looked at me he was a liar just like his daughter "nothing, they were going to assist you on your journey" he answered as he was shocked by the slave crest "fine, they were to help you build up money and items then they'd say you raped the girl and tried to kill them so they would had to kill you to protect themselves" the king answered truthfully. With my questions answered I walked back to my spot the king was angered at his humiliation "you are the staff demon and your master is devil of the shield, I did all of this for the sake of this kingdom and my family so that the misfortunes of the past didn't repeat themselves" the king said. With all the evidence it was time for the verdict the queen stood and the room got quiet "with all the evidence here today I queen Mirellia find you Aultcray Melromarc and Malty Melromarc guilty of the crimes of high treason and conspiracy so I hereby strip both of you of your royal status and sentence both of you to death" the queen said. I saw the look on Naofumi's face it was like he had seen a ghost I could see the sadness in Melty's face "I am sorry for the many who suffered and even died because of the crimes of my mother and father" she said I looked at the audience they looked upset over the verdict it took the queen to explain the crimes committed for them to want the king and Malty to face death. I could still see that look on Naofumi's face like he didn't want this while I felt like they deserved this to feel all the pain caused others. First Malty pled to Motoyasu but all he did was scoff at her but what surprised me was that she called out to Naofumi but she used his name and she was begging for help the thing that surprised me the most was that the slave crest wasn't activating was she actually being genuine I pushed those thoughts aside she was trying to escape death I heard a voice in my head "you hold the power of death and the soul it is your choice" it said. Everyone was looking reluctant especially Naofumi and the queen I could understand the queen as she would be killing her husband and daughter but with Naofumi it was the man who made life miserable for him and the girl who ruined his life Naofumi may of got the blunt of it but they also went after me and then they tried to go after Luna and Nitra I wasn't going to stand for it. As the execution was about to begin something happened Naofumi ordered it to stop "what are you doing?" I asked "death is to good for them" he answered "no I think death is just right" I said "it's to merciful for them" he argued "why do you care so much, they didn't do hardly as bad to you as they did to me" Naofumi said "you sure, they threatened me, made it hard for me to find work, to find a nice bed to sleep in, they tried to kill me, then they tried to kill the two of the women in this world I can't live without" I said. I could see that Naofumi had realized what had happened to me "you do whatever but first I want payback" Naofumi said "the people will no longer call the king and Malty by their names they will call Malty Trash or Bitch" Naofumi declared "but didn't she have a second name" Motoyasu said "yeah she did her adventurer name will be slut" Naofumi said. That wasn't flying with me "I want more than that" I said I created my scythe "if you kill them you are no better than they are" Naofumi said as he said that I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned around to see the reaper "do what you may I will still follow you" he said then he vanished soon I saw the image of my sister afraid of me then saw the girls afraid of me I realized something then I quickly equipped the gauntlet I walked over to Malty or "Bitch" and the once king they both had fear in their eyes "Naofumi is right but what I'm about to do to you is far worse than a name change or death what I'm about to do to you is not vengance, revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response no, not vengeance punishment" I said at the last part I created to small balls of multi colored energy and put both of those balls of energy into their chests they soon fell down and began to scream in agonizing pain "you will feel all the pain brought to others, you will see blood you spilt and it will feel like you have died a thousand deaths you will feel this pain every time you are evil or have a bad thought the pain will get so worse you would wish you had died today" I said releasing them from the pain I didn't say anything after that I just walked away soon everyone cheered as no blood had been spilt today Naofumi stopped me "I'm sorry" he said "it's no problem man I'm not a bad guy" I said we laughed. Next the queen outlawed and banned the church of the three heroes and brought back Melromarc's original faith "the church of the five heroes" now Naofumi and I were revered everywhere I saw people throw away their old rosaries in joy. Soon the queen declared a banquet would be held in our honor being us Naofumi and I declined we both declared that would do whatever to stop the waves of calmity and save this world no matter what. As we left the castle the knights and the cheered for us Luna gave me a kiss as did Nitra and Kina today was the greatest victory ever like this real day we had been summoned but this time we were welcomed I had no idea what was going to come next but whatever it was I'd be ready then Kina whispered into my ear "there's a full blue moon tomorrow tonight be ready" she said then licked my ear I gulped someone please help me.
A/N: Alright there we go this chapter took a long time to write if I went on to long. I do hope the ending was satisfactory enough for you readers I didn't just want to kill the king and Malty I wanted Y/N to have an internal conflict did he want to become a monster or a true hero as he had killed one person in this world. Only four chapters left and it is a bit sad but all good things must come to an end. The voting hasn't changed since the last time and it does look like my next story might be Wise Man's Grandchild and I have been having ideas for what to do with it leave me messages on profile instead of this story.
