I opened and closed my mouth a few times before I offered her a gentle smile and looked over at Mengrui asleep in the bed "I don't blame you, he's your son and you were scared, he also seemed fine before we left the room, So I get it that you thought I did something" I lead her back to her seat and sat her down crouching down no longer having the smile on my face but a gentle expression looking back over at Mengrui

the kid then passed the woman the other hot drink and she took "Mother, father you should drink something, Mengrui will be fine" He smiled at her then turned to me with a stone-cold glare "who are you and that man outside"

I didn't bother looking at him "Mengrui's husband, the man outside is my sworn brother and ex-commander" I said without hesitation

the woman's grip on her cup tightened a little "No way! he wouldn't have married someone like you, you're a punk, and rude"

I turned to look at the kid and frowned "neither of us knew who we were marrying intill we were there, he saw me before I saw him, I didn't have a choice and believe me I know Mengrui or anyone wouldn't marry me given the choice" he frowned at me but remained quiet, I looked at the woman who had a slightly shocked and sad expression "Ayi" I said gently holding out my hand as I remained crouched "I'm Li Shuanghui, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself at the dinner, I was angry with my father and didn't even want to be in the same room as him"

She took my hand shaking it lightly, her hand was soft and warm "it isn't a problem, you introduced yourself now" she shot a glare at her husband who had his head hung down "you weren't the only one involved in this, there are two masterminds to this plan"

I shook my head lightly "Ayi don't blame Shushu (uncle), my father has lied and tricked him into making this deal, but I will sort it out" I look over at Mengrui "you should go home and get some rest, Mengrui will worry about you the last thing he said before passing out was not to upset you" I small smile found its way to my lips as I look back at the elegant woman

Dianfa nodded in agreement "I'll stay with Mengrui Ayi so you don't have to worry"

I stood up and stared at the small male "No, I'll stay with him, he'd want you all to rest and since I can sleep practically anywhere I'll be fine staying here"

the smaller male narrowed his eyes at me with a glare, he opened his mouth to say something but was Interrupted by the Woman "it's ok Xiao Dong, you need to rest too and you have school tomorrow, plus I wouldn't want your mother worrying, Xiao Li will look after him"

he sighed in defeat and nodded "I'll head out first then" he bowed his head to the two older people present in the room "I'll come by tomorrow to see him" he said before heading out the room, Tang looked towards the door but stayed leaning on the wall almost like he was guarding the room, the younger male ignored him and let the door shut behind him.

the woman stood up and gave me another hug once I turned back around to face them, she then passed me her phone number and I gave her mine "I'm Kong Meirong if you didn't know already"

I gave her a warm smile putting her in my contacts "I knew but I prefer the other to introduce themselves" I nodded giving them both a light bow before they made their leave

Tang came in once they left passing me the Paperwork which I placed on the desk, "are you sure you are not attracted to the kid?" a teasing tone to his voice, a smirk stuck to his lips

I glared at him before taking the ring out of Mengrui's hand gently placing it back around his neck, he was under some sedative to make him rest since it was the best thing for him with the pain he'd be in once he woke, I looked at his resting face for a moment before turning back to Kuanwo "Shut up, the old man tricks then and you want to discuss if I have feelings for an innocent kid if you're going to tease me then get the fuck out"

He raised his hand in surrender keeping up his teasing tone "Yes sir, I shall remain quiet while you gaze over your kid"

I sighed and took a seat, pulling my phone from my pocket opening my contacts to my mother typing up a message

not coming home tonight, staying with Mengrui, ask father about the company I from what I can understand father is the bad person in this, I have informed my brothers too, they should be here tomorrow

Tang got bored after a few hours of standing there "I'm leaving, I have work to do anyway, and you have a cute husband to watch over, so I will leave you to your husband duties" his teasing tone strongly evident in his tome

I got up and grabbed him by his shirt "I said don't fucking tease me" I growled out to him

Tang raised his hand in surrender, we both snapped our heads towards the sound of a croaked whisper "if you're going to fight, get out" there was pain etched into his voice a frown evident on his features

I pushed Kuanwo to the door "get out"

he stumbled back smirking "I was leaving anyway" he chuckled and walked out of the room

I growled softly and sat back down "you shouldn't lie, you could have died"

He ignored me, that was clear by his next question "where are my parents?"

I frowned "they went home, I told them they needed to rest, it's getting late"

his expression softened for a moment then turned back to a frown "then you go away to"

I sighed "no we need to talk first"

"I don't want to talk to a stranger, I just want to sleep so go away!" he croaked out

I frowned and pour him a cup of water holding it out to him, he slowly took it from me "you can't make me, I told your mother I would keep an eye on you"

he drank the water staring at me before putting the empty glass down, he lay back rolling on his side turning his back to me, I moved the chair so it was against the wall, leaning back against the chair resting my head back and closing my eyes "did I do something wrong?"

he didn't say anything, he didn't even move, I opened my eyes when I heard the door go, only to close them again seeing the doctor, Mengrui grumbled while the doctor was checking his vitals on giving him some pain killers "when can I go home? " he asked quietly

the doctor looked paused for a moment, I could hear the rustling of paper and the scratch sounds of a pen "tomorrow after another check-up" I assume his attention went to me after "if you are staying there is a spare bed in here"

I didn't open my eyes as I spoke "I'm fine here"

I heard some shuffling "can't you make him leave" I heard a soft chuckle before I heard the sound of the door.

I opened my eyes and looked at Mengrui "why do you want me to leave so badly, did I do something for you to be mad at me?" he ignored me yet again getting up off the bed "where are you going, you can't leave till tomorrow?"

He glared at me and I flinched what did I do wrong to him, "he didn't say I couldn't move or go toilet, don't concern yourself with me, I will do what I want" he huffed out walking into the toilet that's joined to the room

I sigh and close my eyes again "my old man lied to your father, I think" I said loud enough for the boy to hear
