Chapter 24

Kuanwo's POV

I was stood at the door watching Shuanghui cook, he had looked lost this last couple of weeks, he looked more and more lost as the days went on since the last time he saw Mengrui, I let out a sigh shaking my head, he looks at his phone with a frown, looking as though he is debating on something before throwing it down on the side and going back to dealing with the orders, he's been here almost every day this week and I'm worried about him "Shuanghui" I call out teasingly "are you afraid he will ignore you?" I ask seriously but in a teasing tone with a grin on my face, I knew what this was leading to the moment I said it, his hard glare turned into a fist and he punched me in the chest, I coughed a little and held my arm across my chest grinning at him still "I'll take that as a yes" I chuckle "you don't want to know if he'll sign those divorce papers" The glare he gave was telling me to shut up so I raised my hands in surrender "alright I won't talk about your cute husband anymore, but I have a present for you"

his look softened "what present, I don't think you can top the motorbike you gave me, and I don't need or want anything else, so I can't imagine what you would buy for me" he spoke, there was sadness in his voice but I know it was more about Mengrui

I shook my head and smiled at him "It's for Christmas, so you will find out next week, It's a secret till then, even your brothers are helping me with it, well Kaihan anyways"

he frowned at me "go back I'm working" when I shook my head he raised his fist to me again "I'll break something if you don't" he said the way too seriously, his sadness forming more into anger like always

I sigh and smile at him "you are working for me Shuanghui, I'm not exactly going to deduct your pay, Oh also after today I'm putting you on holiday, if you refuse I'm signing you as sick and I won't let you set foot into the club telling everyone it's contagious" I grin at him quickly stepping back as he shoots a glare at me "see you at Christmas Didi" 

Mengrui POV

I'm sitting at Dianfa's house in Dianfa's room that he shares with his little brother since I have been at his for the past week, my mother was admitted to hospital after she passed out, she's ok now I guess but the doctors couldn't do much, they know what's wrong now since my ma finally accepted the tests to be done but it's too late for the doctors to help, they kept her in to keep a closer eye on her but they said she can come home for Christmas. I was playing Mojang with Dianfa and he was watching me with a worried look, Xing was curled in my lap asleep, even though I'm not concentrating much on the game Dianfa was still losing but he didn't seem to care, I didn't mind being around Dianfa and his family, it was different than being at home, his house was a lot smaller than mine but it was cosy, he had 3 rooms in his house, his mother was in one room, then Dianfa and little brother in another, and his two sisters in the third, they all shared one bathroom, which I was not use to having to wait to use it but I was fine with it because this was way better than being alone at home in a big house worrying about my mother being in a hospital that she hates so much.

My phone buzzed in my pocket waking Xing up from my lap, he barked at my packet and I chuckled as he climbed out of my lap, he was getting bigger soon will be too big for me to have in my lap, he's already too big to carry now, I pull my phone out opening the message 

Hey Didi Kong, Me and Juanshou are coming over for Christmas, it would be great to see you, I'll introduce you to my wife, Didi is bringing his wife and kids, It would be great to see you, I already miss you and we only knew each other for three days and you already feel like family, I hope we meet up, Love from your Gege Kaihan x

I stared at the text for a moment biting my lip a little I guess we can meet, see you soon I texted back before putting my phone back into my pocket, scratching the top of Xiao Xing's head as he settled back down on my lap

"who was that" Dianfa questioned as he placed his piece on the board, "is your mother doing ok, you went to see her earlier didn't you"

I nodded "she's doing ok I guess, nothing can be done to help I suppose, and the person who texted was Kaihan," I said and he looked at me confused so I added "Shuanghui's oldest brother, one of the twins that brought me to you when I got out of hospital" he was trying to remember before his mouth formed an 'O' with a frown and I nodded "they want to meet up since they are coming back for Christmas, they haven't done anything wrong, so please don't look angry about it" I sighed "It doesn't matter anyway, not like Shuanghui  has kept contact with me" I couldn't help the sadness in my voice as I said that

Dianfa bit his lip and smiled "Christmas is soon, have you decorated the house" my face now showed the sadness I was feeling, my mother usually does the decorating and I'm guessing Dianfa figured that out "sorry, maybe we could decorate, and surprise Ma for when she returns home" I think he was trying to cheer me up, so I gave him a small smile and nodded

Dianfa's POV

I tried to cheer him up but I think I only made it worse, I sighed and waited till he fell asleep before taking his phone, I scrolled through his contacts, I was about to call Shuanghui but decided against it, then I tried to think of who the other idiot was who was mostly with Shuanghui when I remembered his name was Tang, I scrolled through the contacts to a Tang k. typing his number into my phone and call, the phone rang twice before it was picked up, there was a lot of noise in the background "Hello who is this and how may I help you?" I heard a way to cheerful voice echo through the phone at such a late hour

I frown "how can you be so cheerful so late, I need to talk to you"

"one moment" I heard some shuffling "get out, I have something important to do" I heard the voice of a complaining female and a door slam shut the background noise falling silent "kid? Xiao Kongs friend?" he asked questioningly "how did you get my number?

"one I'm not a kid," I said in a hushed yell and scowled "two, I got it from Mengrui's phone while he slept" I added "I never thought I'd say this but I think Mengrui needs that idiot friend of yours" I mumbled out

"I know," he said in a matter of fact way "I've seen the way they both have been working and concentrating these past weeks that they haven't seen each other, Shuanghui is more miserable than usual too, but something has happened, this last week he seemed more upset than before, why? not to mention he's staying at someone else house not his own"

I stared in shock "how do you know all this, and what the hell are you spying on Mengrui?" I questioned slightly angry at this, I let out a sigh and bite my lip "it's not time for me to get angry, he's been staying at mine for the past week because his mother has been in hospital, she got too ill for her to ignore it but they are letting her home for Christmas... that doesn't matter and none of your concern anyway, I want you to get Shuanghui to contact Mengrui"

He laughed, he started laughing at me "oh kid, don't worry I already have a brilliant plan to get them together, Mengrui will be spending Christmas with Shuanghui and their family together, I will give you an update every hour if you must know, but don't worry, no harm will come to Mengrui, those two idiots miss each other, ones to shy to admit it and well you know more about Mengrui then I so it's, however, he feels to admitting that he loves Shuanghui back, you noticed it if you are contacting me" I could hear the smirk and cockyness in his voice and I frowned at it

"you better not let Mengrui get hurt" I growl out "don't scare him, what are you planning?"

he explains everything to me, and the little plan he and Kaihan have organized with the small help from Juanshou, "so make sure Mengrui is at his house on Christmas eve, the twins will get him from there"

"alright" I sigh "just don't forget stuff for Xing, he won't leave Xing behind" I huffed out before cutting the call off and going to sleep
