Chapter 27

Shuanghui POV

I groan, frowning at the bursting headache-no thanks to being knocked out the day before, I go to sit up but I can't feel a weight on my chest and legs, glancing down I see the smooth pale face of Mengrui and a large ball of fluff behind him "Xiao Rui?" I said softly to the sleeping figure, he shifted a little with a mumble of complaining as he turned his head over but didn't get off, I groan again rubbing my head "I'm so going to kill you Gege" I mumble quietly to myself, closing my eyes in hope to ease the pain while I wait for Mengrui to wake up, I don't know how long I waited but the headache didn't get any better, I opened my eyes to the feeling of the weight lifting off my chest quickly and movement beside me on the bed "you woke up" I said smiling to a shocked and very red cheeks boy

he looked at me and smiled nervously "s...sorry, morning" he stuttered  out, he looked at Xing lying on my legs pulling the dog off me, Xing let out a bark but snuggled up against Mengrui instead, nuzzling his face into the boy's side

I shook my head and smiled "don't worry about it" I said before sliding out of the bed quickly "I'll go get breakfast ready, you can... go get washed and dressed I suppose" he was staring at me so I quickly made my  way out of the room, heading into the bathroom to see if I could find any pain killers, once I did I grabbed them and headed downstairs

I had just finished making breakfast when Mengrui came downstairs walking into the kitchen with a towel around his shoulders and his hair wet, a frown on his face "they forgot a hairdryer" he mumbled as I stared at him answering my unasked question, his hair was long and reached halfway down his back and I chuckle slightly

I walk over to him wrapping his hair up in the towel "I'll help you dry it after breakfast" I smiled and grabbed the two plates from the side nudging my head towards the dining room and followed him as he turned and walked on ahead, I place the plates onto the table as Mengrui sits down sitting opposite him, he stayed quiet and I watched him as he ate slowly

I was watching him when he looked up at me with  a frown "what, you should eat too" he mumbled gesturing to my food, I smile and shake my head eating my food "I'll be up" he said looking over at me

I look back at him and nod "I'll go get dressed then" I watched as he got up collecting the now empty plates and walked out of the room, I got up and followed after him "you ok?" he looked at me and nodded "you seem quiet" he shrugged and smiled a little going back to washing, I frowned but headed upstairs to get washed and dressed, I came back down frowning at the tie in my hand, I smiled seeing Mengrui in the hall playing with Xing, Xing was barking and running around him while he was smiling wide, every now and then grabbing Xing and blowing a breath of air in his face before Xing would run around him again, I watched him for a moment before walking over to him "here then, let me dry your hair", he looked up at me and nodded before following my into the living room, I sat down and he knelt down infront of my, I bit my lip as I undone the towel wrap and began drying his hair with it,, I ran my fingers through his long hair as I dried it, it was soft and silky, I dried it the best I could it was still slightly damp "is that better?" I asked as I ran my fingers through his hair and his fingers followed, he nodded and got up tying his hair back in a loose band, I glanced over what he was wearing and he had a suit that matched mine, except he had his tie on "can... can you do my tie"

he looked up at me and stared for a moment "you can cook but can't tie a tie" I shrugged and grinned at him and held the tie out to him, he looked hesitant before taking the tie from me, I remained seated so he could reach, I watched as he leaned closer slipping the tie around the back of my neck, I watched the concentration on his face as he fiddled with it and tied it up

He tightened it and looked at me, I smiled at how close he was to me, and he looked slightly scared, he jumped back a bit as the front door opened and Xing started barking, Mengrui quickly grabbed Xing and we both walked out into the hall, a dark glare was sent towards the door and Mengrui mirrored it, that was intill two small children came running through the door, I grinned as soon as I saw them and they ran to me wrapping me into a hug on each side as I crouched down to them "Shushu" the cooed happily and I hugged them back picking them both up
