Shuanghui POV

I stared at him in disbelief "are you sure he said that" I couldn't see Mengrui's face as he turned away from me "he won't even say my name why would he say he likes me?"

"Even if he did it's not true" I dunno what it is with him but something changed am he's not so hatred towards me, he wasn't even trying earlier when he tried to punch me it's like he's putting in a show "you can't just hate someone on day then love them the next" he tried to argue as I walked over to Mengrui "he has my sister to love why would he choose you"

Mengrui was glaring at Dianfa as I ignored what he was saying, gently grabbing Mengrui's chin pulling his face to face me "did you really say that" I said in a whisper against his lips as his cheeks blushed a brighter red.

He went to say something but then we all turned towards the door seeing Meirong there I dropped my hand from Mengrui's chin "Mengrui your father wants to see you" she said completely ignoring what she just saw, Mengrui nodded, looked up at me before walking out of the room

I watched as Mengrui left the room, I wasn't sure why he gave us a worried glance before leaving, at least that was until Meirong turned around with a glare I'm sure would even scare mother "We are so dead" Dianfa said next to me, I don't blame him, the look in Meirong's eyes could kill, the sweet caring mother I knew her to be seemed to be in no sight it sent a nervous shiver down my spine

I looked at him then back at Meirong "Is something the matter Ayi?" I asked, stepping back so I was next to Dianfa instead of in front of him

"You boys wouldn't be upsetting my baby boy now would you?"

We shook our heads "No Ma/Ayi" we both said at the same time as we took another step back as she came closer

She smiled, one of her nice smiles but the look in her eyes where not as nice as her smile they still had that killer look to it "Oh good because we wouldn't want anyone to upset him now would we, you both would look after my baby boy now won't you"

"Yes ma/Ayi" we both spoke together again

Her eyes went back to the calm kind manner "then I trust you both to look after him" she said walking past us to the bathroom before walking back out with a basket of clothes, once she left both me and Dianfa let out a sigh of relief

I looked at him as he slid down the wall and sat on the floor under the window "something tells me you seen that look before"

He nodded before looking up at me and I saw the fear in his eyes "once, I've seen it once before, there where this lad who was bullying Mengrui for looking so fiminine, kept calling him girly boy and tried beating him up, I managed to get them away from him but school already found out and called both our parents, she was not happy with what the school said about it and well after that day the boy was never seen again and she got listed as the scariest mother, no one bothered him again but I stuck by him just in case"

I let out a laugh and nodded "That's why Ayi and Ma get along so well then" I gave him a small smile and he had a confused look on his face, I looked back to the door as Mengrui came in and my smile grew, he wasn't blushing anymore but he still looked adorable

I glanced at Dianfa as he let out a sigh and he was frowning at me, Mengrui walked over to ys as Dianfa ran a hand through his hair "I can't believe I'm saying this" he stood up and pointed at me and I raised an eyebrow at hin "if you ever hurt him I'll kill you"

I hummed and smiled at him, was that his approval, Mengrui looked between us "what do you mean" I looked at him and shrugged

Dianfa continued still pointing that finger at me as he glared "I will take him away from you if you ever so much as hurt him do you understand me?"

I grinned, I knew this was going to come eventually "I guess I should stop teasing this delicate man then"

Mengrui frowned at me folding his arms "what are you both talking about?"

I smirked looking over the Mengrui "he accepts me, will you"

I saw Dianfa rolling his eyes "I do not accept you, don't take that as my acceptance" he said sounding annoyed "I'll come back later you both have a dinner to get ready for"

Mengrui watched Dianfa leave and I took a few steps forward to be right infront of him "what was that all about" he asked turning his head back tacking a quick step back

I slipped my arm around his waist so he couldn't step away any further not that he actually tried, a mischievous smile on my lips "we where talking about me and you" I stroked his jaw cupping his chin before I pulled him in for a gentle kiss on his lips watching his cheeks blush up again, I smiled rubbing my thumb over his pink tinted cheek running my hand down his neck, taking the necklace from him

he tried to grab my hand and stop me and I just smiled at him sliding the ring of the necklace it was on "what are you doing?"

"Putting your ring on properly" I took his hand in mine tracing my fingers gently over his skin as I slide the ring onto it

He watched the blush on his cheeks remaining, he looked at my hand twisting the ring on my finger "yours is on the wrong one"

I smiled and shook my head kissing his forehead "it will go on the right one when you put it there, he looked up at me and quickly turned away to walk away from me, I grabbed his hand holding it up to him "don't take it off" I said sternly before kissing it

He bit his lip and loomed away "we need to go if you want to get changed" I smiled and linked my fingers with his and headed for the door, I felt his hand tug at mine and I looked at him "let go"

"If I let go you might run away" I said, he squeezed my hand and I smiled at him as he mumbled something as we headed down the stairs

"Xiao Li" we both stopped by the door looking back up the stairs "may I talk with you"

I looked at Mengrui who had a worried look on his face as he looked back at me, I smiled and kissed his forehead before letting his hand go and heading up the stairs "yes sir" I said following him into his office, glancing at the worried stare Mengrui had as he stood by the front door
