Shuanghui POV

I shook my head about to decline the entrance off but she grabbed my arm and pulled me inside "come in you're getting wet out there, join us there is plenty to eat"

I let out a sigh and smiled at her

"Mother who is it, the foods going...." his face sinks slightly as he sees me "cold" he finishes after a short pause, I gave him an uncertain smile and a small shrug

his mother went to the kitchen and Mengrui turned back to the door he came from and I followed him, he sat down at the table and I sat next to him "what are you doing here" he grumbled out quietly

"I... well" I searched through my pockets before putting the medication onto the table "delivering these"

"Don't need them, you can go?" he said in a cold tone

I raised my eyebrow at him "Now I'm glad I was the one who came, this is clearly why brother Kuanwo said it would be fun to make you take them"

he looked at me confused "Brother Kuanwo?" he quickly grabs the medication off the table hiding them in his pocket as his mother come back into the room

she puts a bowl of rice in front of me "thank you Ayi"

She shakes her head "don't mention it, eats up boys"

he glared at me as he started eating, I fiddled with the chopsticks "you can't just hide them, you need to take the..." I was cut off by food being shoved into my mouth.

My eyes widened as I stared at him "Shut up and eat" he said in a cold tone

his mother had a shocked expression as she watched us "how long have you two known each other?" she asked slowly

Mengrui put his chopsticks down and sighed "A week, the day we got married we met officially, the only thing I know about him is his name"

I coughed a little and went back to eating my food slowly, as I looked at my bowl "I know a bit more about you but not much"

he looked at me with a frown as if he knew something but didn't say anything shaking his head "we met once before the wedding but only because I was serving the table he and his father was sat at in my café"

I let out a small laugh remembering the hatred on my father's face since he wanted to go to a restaurant, not some small café but the one he wanted to go to was a suit only place, so I dragged him to this little café I saw, "I remember that day" Mengrui had a soft smile on his face

"What did they make you boys do" both I and mengrui looked towards the woman as she spoke

"Father didn't tell you?" Mengrui questioned her

she shook her head "no I told him I don't want to see him, on our way home yesterday, and so he has gone to a hotel"

"Ma.." Mengrui whined in the complaint, he was about to continue but I cut in

"Aye, it wasn't Mr Kong's fault, my father lied to him, please forgive your husband"

She shook her head and waved her hand to the food "I'll forgive him when I'm ready, you boys eat up"

I sigh and look at Mengrui and he starts eating again, I look back at his mother "Ayi, may I have some water please"

"of cause dear," she says getting up and walking to the kitchen

I quickly grab the medication from mengrui taking one from each packet "give that back" I shake my head placing the two tablets onto the table moving the packets out of reach
