Chapter 38

Shuanghui's POV

Kaihan returned to his seat and we all continued the meal, I looked at Mengrui and smiled to him "I'll cook you something when we get back" I whispered to him, I knew really it was because most of the dishes where sea food and I think I'm going to have to inform my family of his allergy because they have a tendency to get a lot of sea food dishes, he smiled up at me sliding his hand back into mine and I interlocked our fingers raising it up to press a gentle kiss to the back of his hand, chuckling slightly at the blush that rose on his cheek

It wasn't long before we had all finished and was outside the restaurant as Juanshou payed for our meal and everyone was saying goodbye to each other "I want to say bye to Mengrui" Kaihan whined as I refused to let him past me

"No you will tease him" I grunted out as two kids jumped on me and Kaihan was forced to go say bye to ma "you both be good for ma and pa ok" I smiled ruffling their head watching as Juanshou came out and went straight for Mengrui

I watched as he placed his hands on Mengrui shoulder with a smile "don't let my brother bully you, and if you need anything we are only a call away you have our numbers" the kids ran back to their Ma and I went back to making sure Kaihan didn't get near my Xiao Rui "come on Gege time to go home" Juanshou said before dragging a pouting Kaihan away from me and Mengrui back to his wife, us both waving as they drive away

Mengrui and ma got into a nice chatter on the way back so I headed into the kitchen first I was half way making a chicken stir fry when ma and Mengrui decided to join me "why have I never seen you cook before?" She asked settling into her seat

I glanced at her with a smile "if you knew I could cook would you still cook for me?"

She chuckled and shook her head "of cause not you lazy man"

I turned back to the food "well there you have it, I never said anything because I love my beloved mother's cooking that I just couldn't give up"

I flinched lightly as she flicked my ear and chuckled "don't be so cheeky" I could see Mengrui watching with a smile as my mother moved back over to him "it this really the reason you did not eat, because of my cheeky son's cooking"

He shook his head "I would have just gotten a snack until food, I would not bother someone like this" he said gesturing towards me

"Then you didn't eat because" mother questioned

Mengrui looked a little awkward so I turned around to answer "he's alergic to sea food"

Mother looked at me then back to Mengrui "why did you not say anything, we could have made sure there was no seafood dishes there for you"

"There was" he answered gently "it's just, even the slightest bit of seafood could have me hospitalised and my mother spends enough time there recently with out me being there to so I would just rather not risk it"

My mother gave him an apologetic smile before leaving the room as I put the stirfry into a bowl and lead Mengrui into the dining area, I smiled watching him and holding the bowel out to him pulling it back as he goes to take it "Payment first"I said to the confused look he gave me a smirk on my lips

"Payment?" He stated questioning it as his eyes seemed to narrow slightly "what's the payment?"

"The same thing I asked for ealier" I stated watching his face heat up as I step past him to place the bowel down, he didn't say anything and just stared at me with a blush "so will you give me my payment or am I going to eat this myself" I stated as I sat down

I watched as his face remained heated as he took the few steps towards me leaning closer and pecking his lips to my cheek, I hummed quickly raising my hand to grab his shirt as he went to stand back up pulling him back closer and kissing his lips, his hands quickly raised as he stumbled forward and holding himself up with my shoulders kissing me back as I pulled him closer, pulling a kiss from him until I managed to nip his tongue between my teeth letting him go as he pushed away from me and covered his mouth "what was that for" he mumbled into his hand a slight shock to his eyes

I frowned standing up from my seat "punishment" and walked out the room "eat" I called before leaving and heading to my room just about hearing him say "what did I do to get bitten?" Before I went out of ear shot

I got to my room shutting the door and leaning against it with a sigh for a few seconds before walking over to my bed and turning on the console to play a game, "shut up"I grumbled to the person on the other end of the game chat while we played, just as I heard a knock at the door "come in" the door was slowly creeked opened and Mengrui looked nervous as he stood there "did you eat?" Ignoring the voice in the headphones as he nodded "I'll take you home then" getting up as I placed the controller down

"What's wrong" he said quietly almost in a whisper, I shook my head and walked out of the door,

I gritted my teeth not really sure how to respond "nothing" I mumbled and kept walking till a hand gripped my wrist I stopped and looked at him as he stepped closer and wrapped his arms around my waist "what are you doing?"

He looked down before pressing his forehead into my chest "I'm sorry" he mumbled "I've never been close to anyone before and I just don't know how to react when it comes to you, specially when" he let out a breath as I just stood and listened "specially when it comes to kissing you"

The frown depleted faster then I could think as I wrapped an arm around hom and ran my fingers through his hair "you are a little hopeless Xiao Rui" he mumbled another sorry into my chest as I traced my finger across his jaw line pulling his face up to look up at me "you will have to get use to it though, because I don't plan on letting you go" I smiled at him watching his cheeks heat up more
