Chapter 39

Mengrui's PoV

I stared up at him as he let a small smile cross his lips, it was rare to see him smile, he leaned down and kissed my forehead and soon after I was wrapping my arms around his neck clinging onto him as he lifted me up from my place "I'll take you back later" he grumbled out as he swung the door shut with his foot

I leaned against him and closed my eyes as he sat down on the bed with me in his lap, I bit my lip with a sigh "I think I like you to"

He laughed throwing himself back on the bed as I tensed and stiffened so I didn't fall with him giving him a confused look, once his laugh subsided he looked up at me "completely hopeless" he stated before grabbing my arm making me squeak out as he pulled me down beside him on the bed, he leaned over and pecked my lips before leaning over me "if you only think you like me don't kiss me back" he stated, before I got a chance to reply he had captured me in another kiss, my cheeks painting red as I hesitated in response and reaching up to wrap my arms around him, I felt his arm slip under me as he pulled me into a deeper kiss my heart was pounding as I stared up at him when he pulled back, he looked content in just staring at me and I didn't have a voice to respond or say anything "I want to tell you something" he started and I slowly nodded "about the person I fell in love with, the first person I ever fell in love with in my life, he has such a delicate face, it's soft and cute like a young prince" he traced a finger over my cheek propping himself in on the arm he had under me, "soft lips" he continued tracing his fingers over mine "a pure heart with long silky black hair, he has a small body that I like to cage in my embrace and protect like he's the most Delicate and precious jewel in the world" he let out a soft sigh "and those eyes, those eyes I would never mind getting lost in that when I see them I am so lost for words even when they glare at me so coldly, and because of a certain laotou I'm married to him" his face suddenly changed from admiration to sad "but he only thinks he likes me" he finished as he sat up

I gaped up at him before sitting up and facing him "tha...that's not entierly true" I mumbled reaching over to pull his face to face mine as my hand rests on his cheek the sad look still on his face, I blushed knowing he's going to want more then that, biting my lip as I tried to speak once more "I... I do..."

I stopped as a smile crossed his face and he started laughing "alright I'll stop teasing you" he smirked pulling his hand up as a soft grip reached my chin, he leaned forward but stopping just before his lips touch mine and his head turned to the door as it swings open "why are you here?" 

Kaunwo opened and closed his mouth a few times lolling his head from side to side as he seemed to think about what he was going to say "I came to see my brother, but he seems a little busy" A smirk crossed his lips as he looked at me "I'll come back later"

He turned to leave and Shuanghui sighed as he dropped his hand from my chin "to late" he mumbled sitting up properly on the bed "what's so important that you couldn't even knock on the door" he asked as I grabbed a pillow and buried my face in the soft comfort of it to hide my blushing face

Kuanwo's face was in a frown as he glanced back and forth in the short time I've known him I've never seen him more serious, at this point maybe a little scary "I found out who the people your father gambled with" he stated, his eyes still glancing to me as if he wasn't sure he should be giving this information out while I'm around "I don't think" he gestured towards me looking back to Shuanghui as if they were having one of those silent conversations, I looked at Shuanghui who was frowning at Kuanwo who sighed "even if you want to taint him with your perverted way's I don't think it's something he needs or should know"

I was about to argue how I was involved in this to but Shuanghui seemed to understand him more then me as he let out a heavy sigh with a nod "fine, I'll take him home then you tell me everything when I get back" Kuanwo nodded stepping away from the door "I'll come see you tomorrow?" he asked holding out his hand which I take with a nod as he leads us downstairs "Ma, I'll be back soon, just taking Xiao Rui home" he said poking his head into some room thats filled with a bunch of art equipment downstairs

She looked up putting the brush down on the easel and smiled to Shuanghui before turning to me with the same smile "you are welcome here whenever you want to Mengrui, you are family now" she walks over giving us both a hug "be safe and visit soon"

I smile and nod as Shuanghui leads us both outside and over to his bike "I really hate this" he chuckled and got on passing me a helmet before helping me on and driving me home, he grabbed my arm before I got to far taking his helmet off and kissing me "I'll be back tomorrow, Promise" I smiled and nodded watching as he drives away

"good to see you are back and not with him staying this time" I chuckled turning to my best friend who had a frown and a grimace on his face "your parents are shopping" he said as we headed inside

"Why do you hate him so much" I smiled at him shutting the door behind me "Xing" I called

He remained silent as Xing practically bounced his way down the stairs and we walked to the kitchen "I don't hate him, I just don't like him, but he's good for you" he mumbled the last bit turning away to fold his arms in annoyance "as long as you are happy with him I won't get in the way, but I still want time with my gege or is that to much to ask for?"

I chuckled and looked up gasping but before I could say anything I blacked out the barking of Xing was the last thing I heard
