Shuanghui POV

"Didi, Xiao Kong" I heard Juanshou before a small knock and the door opened before I even get a chance to reply, with his pouting about the phone Mengrui had lay next to Xing completely ignoring me, I turned my head to the door to look at my gege, he seemed to look between us both "Dinner's ready," he said a slight frown emerging on his features

Mengrui got up as Juanshou leaned against the door frame arms crossed glaring at me, Mengrui stopped at the door since I hadn't moved "are you not coming"

I nodded and signalled for him to go ahead "I just need a minute"

Juanshou rested a hand on Mengrui's shoulder "we'll be down in a minute you go on ahead" Mengrui frowned before nodding and walking out of the room, Juanshou glared at me moment Mengrui was from his sight "what are you doing?"

I sighed and shook my head "nothing...."

"you like him" he cut me off "why are you trying to hide it, Shuanghui tell me what's going on with you ever since....."

this time I cut him off "let's go and eat, they are probably waiting for us" I pushed him out the room shutting the door "don't want to keep them waiting"

"fine but you will talk eventually Shuanghui you can't hide whatever it is forever" I rolled my eyes and we headed downstairs

as we got downstairs Kuanwo had his arm around Mengrui who was trying to push him off "it's fine but can you stop that"

"But we are brothers, I'm not going to hurt you" he smirked

I walked over to them grabbing Kuanwo's arm pulling him off Mengrui and the seat, slightly pushing him away "he said stop" I glared at him

"Ok ok," he said hands up in surrender, then a smirk crossed his face "no one is allowed to touch your man"

"shut up and sit before you regret it," I said before taking the seat next to Mengrui

"Are you a masochist?" I looked at Mengrui who was looking at Kuanwo as he sat in the seat next to me, Kuanwo raised an eyebrow in question towards him "you seem to enjoy saying and doing things that end up with him threatening you"

Kuanwo gave him a grin "he doesn't just threaten, he is violent and dares to beat up his boss"

Mengrui tilted his head "you're proving my point by saying that, it tells me you like being beaten up and he just grants it, since you do things to provoke him"

I smirked at Kuanwo "alright boy enough arguing, let's eat before this lovely food goes cold"

"Shushu" I heard from across the table, I look up to see my niece pointing at Mengrui "do you love that man?" I almost choked on my food as Mengrui stopped movement for a brief moment

I quickly swallowed what was in my mouth "do you even know what love is?"

She huffed and pouted before pointing both arms out towards Kaihan and Kuanwo "they said you love him and they know what love is don't they, and daddy said you were sad when Mengrui wasn't around, but you don't look sad Shushu is it because you love that man"

I glared and Kuanwo and Kaihan "they are lying I wasn't sad," I said hesitantly

"no their not" she crossed her arms at me "you lying Shushu, they not"

I frowned and tapped the table "eat your food or ma will be sad that you didn't eat the food she worked hard to cook"

Juanshou tapped her shoulder and she went back to her food, I saw Kaihan jerk in his seat then glare at Juanshou

I was about to go back to eat when there was a small tapping on the table "you didn't deny it though" ma said making me and Mengrui look at her "you didn't deny the part about loving Xiao Kong"

I looked at Mengrui, "you can't exactly say you hate him either or you would have got the divorce sorted already" Meirong added

Mengrui looked towards his mother "I been busy" he stated for his reason

"yes because quickly signing your name on a piece of paper will distract you from your studying" Aixian continued

I frowned and so was Mengrui "I don't see why you wouldn't want to divorce him, I'm sorry I made you marry someone like him, he'd be a useless husband"

I looked around at everyone and opened my mouth to speak as I heard chopsticks being slammed down I turn to see Mengrui's anger on his face "what's that supposed to mean, what do you mean he'll be a useless husband"

"Mengrui" I reached out to him and he jerked away so I stopped "just ignore him, eat your food," I said as calm as possible

he shook his head and looked at me "no that man" he pointed towards Laotou "has not said a single thing nice about you since we met and he...." he stopped in the middle of his sentence, looked at everyone before quickly getting out of his seat walking out of the room

I started watching him vanish from the doorway, I saw Aixian put a hand on Meirong's shoulder as she went to get up before I was suddenly shoved off my seat "go after him idiot"

I stumbled and hurried out of the room after Mengrui biting my lip, I knocked on the door as I reached my room before opening it, Mengrui was sitting on his bed looking as though he was fighting with himself "why did you knock" he asked as he looked up at me confusion written all over his face

I shrugged and shut the door behind me walking up to him "are you alright"

he nodded looking away from me "why did I do that, I had no right to argue with you father, I shouldn't have done that, and you.... why you come after me dinner is downstairs" he frowned "that man pisses me off all he ever does is talk crap about you and it's not fair"

I smiled at him and patted my hand lightly on his head before stroking it down his cheek "thank you" he looked at me then, confused again "thank you Xiao Rui, I can't remember that last time someone got mad at someone else for me other than you"

he shook his head in denial "I didn't get mad for you I just hate it when..." I cut him off as I leant down and kissed him, I didn't want to hear him make up some excuse as to why he was mad at the Laotou, right now it made me happy and I just couldn't help but kiss him

he didn't respond to the kiss, he was frozen with wide eyes as I had his face cupped in both my hands my lips against his, before I barely pulled my lips away from him, studying his confused face for anything

that was short-lived as he frowned and punched me square in the jaw and pushed me back away from him, then the look of shock was in his eyes as he stared at me

"sorry" I mumbled before quickly making my out of the room to leave him alone
