The Blind Marriage

Chapter 18

Mengrui's POV

Dianfa death glared at Tang before shouting "there is no way in hell we are celebrating that!!"

Tang had shrugged his shoulders and looked away from Dianfa as if his opinion didn't matter and closed his eyes "no need to shout, and why not celebrate, our two best buddies are married it would be great"

I didn't bother listening to Dianfa's reply before turning around walking away from them, Xing followed after me as I headed out, just before the doors to the lift shut Shuanghui slipped inside "did you bring your medication" I grimaced at the mention of it

I looked away from him and frowned, "no, I don't need it right now anyways" I mumble shaking my head "I'm not celebrating either, I'm going home"

He looked at me with what I assume seemed to be worry as we walked through the office and down the second lift "I'll take you home" I know he's a caring guy but it is just unusual for anyone else to act like this around me  other then Dianfa

Somehow he didn't make me feel uncomfortable like most people but I shook my head at him again "I don't want or need you to take me home, I have Xing who needs his walk anyways"

He shrugged "I'll only follow you, so either you walk with me or I stalk you"

"wouldn't be the first time" I quietly mumbled as I crouched down and put on Xing's leash, he ran ahead as I got the Leash on him testing how far he could go, Just as Shuanghui said, he started following me only he had his phone out for a brief moment

"Mengrui, can we stop at my house, I need to grab something," he said, a slight rise in his voice so I could hear him, I stopped at looked back at him "I'm not stopping you, but either way I'm going home"

He smiled at me and grabbed my hand "great you can go home after I get something from my house" he said as he pulled me along, Xing stopped pulling and followed the way I was being pulled

I pulled at my hands in an attempt to free them "Let go" I grumbled 

"If I let go you might run away" he stated, entwining his fingers with mine as I almost slipped my hand free, his grip slightly tightened so I couldn't wiggle it free, and I couldn't use my other hand from holding onto Xing's leash. We came up to a house, walking up the drive, there were three cars in the driveway and by the door stood one of the twins and the woman I saw at the dinner so I am guessing is Shuanghui's mother "Ma?" Shuanghui said a slight worry and surprise in his tone

She was glaring at him "where the hell have you been" she sounded angry, and she didn't seem to notice me, so I quietly tried to ply my hand from his, only his grip got slightly tighter as he squeezed but gently loosened shortly after

I stopped and looked up at him, he wasn't looking at me, I looked down at Xing as he started barking "Xiao Xing, shhh" I whispered, my hand finally being let go as I crouched down and picked my small white puppy up

"oh my" I looked up at the woman and she was looking at me, relief filled her eyes "I'm so glad to see you're ok, What is your name I didn't get it last time"

I stood up holding xing close to me as I held him "Kong..... Kong Mengrui" I spoke softly then looked at Xing with a smile "this is Xiao Xing" 

"can I have my cards?" I looked up at shanghai when he spoke, he had a small smile on his face, and his mother's glare reformed as she looked at him 

"you haven't answered my question, you are not getting them back I know you weren't with Xiao Kuanwo last night like you promised" she sounded angry again, a lot different to the calmer voice she had when speaking to me
