as i held the old polaroid pictures of you in my hand i felt not sorrow, but ease.
though they were dated not that long ago, February 17th 2018, i hardly remember that day.
what i do remember is what you taught me and how you helped me to evolve into a different, better person.
and i thank you for that.
i recognize the wrongs that occurred during our relationship and holding those polaroids i realized i no longer feel the longing i once had to be with you again.
i've moved on and grown into a healthier mindset and that's all i wish for you.
