Once the tents were pitched, all dozen of them in a little circle, I took Ed to one side and smacked him round the head.
'Did you fucking know?'
'Know what?'
'That he'd be here. Ed, I told you about what happened in confidence.'
'Ok, so I knew, Kyle concocted this plan to make you two talk. But don't you think it's time you made up?'
'The guy led me along and got someone else pregnant.' I hissed. 'Or thought he had, whatever.'
'Look, don't you think he's suffered enough?'
'I'm leaving.' I said loud enough that the group of people gathered all turned to look at me.
'Lillian, stay.' Woody urged me. I heard a chorus of agreement. I recognised so many faces of bands I'd met along the way, and their crews. Greg, Coop, Ben were all there too. Ed wasn't wrong; it would be nice to just pretend we were normal people for one night. And the rare chance to see my brother. I just wished Dan wasn't sat there looking like he might burst into tears at any moment.
